  1. I didn't even think about it going into junk mail Donatella I too have seen that breeders say in ads to email first; so unless it says preferred contact phone I just email as you never know the right time to phone someone :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I had the same problem but the vet missed it and so did my vet so she was sold and thought to have been healthy. Have you contacted the breeder's vet to ask if they found it on his 6 week visit? I would. After the ultrasound you could find it won't affect him at all; some dogs have heart murmurs and live long healthy lives unaffected by it or he could just need medication. I have another dog and am currently fostering a dog (who hopefully will stay :)) and it has taken no attention off of them at all. The only care Coco needed was strict bed rest for 2 weeks and then slowly increase her exercising from there plus give her medication morning and night. We were a bit like you went and picked the pups up, and we were told that the breeders vet thought he might have had a murmur but couldnt be sure, that he would grow out of it and that they thought they could hear it only on the right side of his chest. It is now audible on the left but far more pronounced on the right. I have spoken to the breeder since and at the moment has only offered to take him back. That breeder should not have sold you that pup knowing it had a heart murmur I think that is cruel not only on the dog but to you! Now you could be faced with some tough decisions and had they not sold you the pup you wouldn't have to go through it! Just a thought I don't want to cause an uproar. Would anyone on her know; as the breeder sold the dog knowing it had a heart murmur do you think they should pay for the ultra sound or no as they are willing to take the dog back? I hope all goes well with the ultra sound and no decisions need to be made Let us know how he goes :)
  3. Yep Im at that stage, emailed 2 breeders and rang a rescue. Left a simple message for the rescue about which dog I was ringing about and my name and contact number as instructed on the voice mail and nothing.. not even a polite call to say sorry the dog has been adopted was there anyone else you were interested in. The first breeder nothing... and the 2nd breeder I got an email the following night to apologize not answering my email sooner as she was busy and that she would get back to me the following day answering my questions.. so we're 3 days later then that and still nothing.. just bummed out at this stage, I dont wanna ring people as to me calling is a really eager think and shows a YES I WANT kind of effect and I dont wanna seem pushy as at this stage Im still deciding based on a number of things including the response I get from the breeder.. so Im gonna sit in my bubble and wait I am going through this too I have emailed 4 breeders and have received nothing from any of them. It's only been a few days though.

  5. I agree with this but I don't. It is easy to say return the dog get another but that dog grows on you. I just went through this/am going through this. We found Coco's when she was going to get desexed at 6 months. Her heart murmur was a 4-5. We did the $500 ultrasound and it wasn't good news. I did what I had to so I could keep her which was a $4500 heart operation. I didn't want a replacement dog I wanted her. I don't regret my choice one bit. Only regret I have is not getting pet insurance The only advise I have is if you wish to keep your dog and not return to the breeder, get the ultrasound it is the only way you will know how bad it is. I got a 2nd vets opinion before the ultrasound and they told me the same thing. If I didn't get the ultrasound she would have only had a few months to live and it would have been too late to operate. You could find it is not even that bad and the dog is fine to live with it or just needs medication. Before you return the dog please consider the ultrasound it could not be as bad as you think. If you return the dog the likely outcome is it will be PTS. Feel free to PM me any questions you have at all. I am sorry for the news I know how it feels Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Thanks very much for that it's good to hear how people started. I'm sure I can attend one of those 2 shows in Durack It will be good to be at a show and have someone to talk to about it and get some more info!
  9. She PMd me last night and is attending a show next weekend I should be able to go as I was looking at going to that show to have a look anyway so it works out good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I had been pretty set on getting a standard poodle but then I thought of the grooming aspect and I don't think it's a good choice to start off with. I'm fine washing, brushing and blow drying. But I have no idea how to groom them So I am looking at a couple of breeds: Aussie Shepherd, Samoyed & Japanese Spitz. What are these dogs like to groom? I know to expect shedding but I currently have a husky so that I can handle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So sorry for your loss RIP Gus Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I am after as much advice as I can get I would like to get into showing as a hobby. But have no idea where to start I know I'll have to find the right dog but I just don't know how one goes about getting in. I have been to a couple of shows and it seems like something I would enjoy to do. I plan on going to a few more to watch again as well. But I have no idea how to find the right dog, find a mentor or anything? So any information at this point will be quite useful
  13. It's all you can do really Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. I hope this was a joke and not serious... Yes was a joke Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Sorry I don't know much about poms but can you get white ones? As that's the colour they want! So just has to be "tea cup" and white. Who cares about lines, temperament and suitability?!?! Why should I bother with them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I can't help in anyway sorry But I just hope for the best for you and Tia and that someone here can shed some light and help you out
  18. Some awful testimonials down the bottom of that site! Perhaps K&C's friend needs to hear a few stories like that. I emailed them the link after I read those stories
  19. I hate when they say that but they want several hundreds of dollars for the dog not a give away yet the alternative is the pound
  20. Thanks everyone I'll do my best to explain again. But at the end of the day they will do as they please.
  21. How do I word it nicely that tea cup size isn't real as they have "proof" it is and believe they will find one.
  22. oh I didn't know you couldn't post that link sorry. They are in NSW don't think location is an issue though
  23. So I have a friend of a friend looking for a "tea cup" pomeranian. But is having no luck finding one. I said that is because there is no such thing and that many people sell the runts of litters as "tea cups" and put the high price tags on them to make money. So I suggested going on dogzonline contacting some breeders and asking to go on a waiting list for a smaller pomeranian of a litter. Well instead I get an emailing informing me otherwise that they are real with a website to look at. I went on there are these dogs real? The price tag is ridiculous but the pictures of the dogs don't look real at all they look like toys?!?? Sorry I am only new to the whole registered breeding world because I too once thought tea cup poodles were real and was looking for one only to find out what I have. I get many people asking me if my girl is a "tea cup" and I say no, I have had one lady ask and then tell her little girl no it isn't a "tea cup" like so and so. People are really uneducated I think on this, I being one of them .
