  1. I don't have any pei's but I might come if not working been waiting for a DOL meet up near me well it's an hour away but still in the same state  Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. to Liz T spot on and K9 angel too I just hope the lab finds a loving home where he can feel safe. You adopt him, then put his life in danger several times and his the one to go : When I'm sure the breeder of the neo would easily take it back and is experienced with the breed which you clearly are not tho it is the "ideal" dog for you! 3. Glad she ate :) hope she feels even better tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Sending good thoughts her way to making a full recovery
  5. Our refugee always has huskies and malamutes in it
  6. Well she is going to the toilet now We still really don't think it is kennel cough. We called our vet and couldn't get in but they to said it sounds like the kitty litter as Scout is no longer coughing which means she mustn't have had as much as what Misty did. She is eating fine and playing with Scout fine I have not heard her cough but OH said he had but not as bad as she was. My partner still INSISTS on keeping the seperate I do not want to! What can I tell him to assure him that if its KC there is nothing we can do about Coco now? I want my babies inside I have to call vet again now and tell them how everything was today but would there be any need for the antibiotics?
  7. I have never had a dog with kennel cough so just assumed kitty litter as that was the only thing that had happened to change anything. Where could they get it from? I don't know much about it, but both are vaccinated for it and with the weather lately have not been out much. We have gone and sanatized everything in our house and all the dogs stuff. The 2 huskies will be outside now as I do not want Coco to get it. Is there anything I can do to help prevent her from getting it? As the vet said if Coco gets it and it causes infection it could affect her heart. Probably gone over the top tonight with everything though sanatized lounges, floors, tables, dog bowls, benches and scrubbed pation and also changed bed sheets and doona as all dogs usually sleep in there. I know am probably worrying too much I just can't afford Coco to get sick Definately can't handle this right now too stressful
  8. She had clumping and the little bit of crystals I had on the bottom. Scout had some too she dry reached last night but is fine. Misty is still dry reaching with the occasional froth coming out and she can't go to the toilet so I've given her some pumpkin puree. I went to the emergency vet he is saying it is kennel cough so she got some shots and is on antibiotics but my partner and I didn't really think he was very good and we don't agree with the diagnosis so will do as he said and take her to our vet tomorrow. If it was kennel cough would Scout not still be doing the dry reaching thing too? And if it is kennel cough and Coco gets it could it be bad for her heart??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Last night my husky Misty got into the kitty litter. She was inside had notice she wasn't in the lounge room for a while called her and she came out of where the kitty litter is kept Ever since she keeps on dry reaching. I have called the 24hour vet twice in regards to it once last night they said feed her a tin of dog food with some metamucil and that should help pass it. But still today she is dry reaching at least every 10 mins and has thrown up white froth/saliva, so I called the vet again and they just said keep an eye on her. We don't know how much she ate but there was clumping kitty litter in there as I ran out of the crystals I usually use. Should I be as worried as I am? And what things should I look out for that would need her to be taken to the vet? The lady on last nigth was really hopefully but the one today not so much, which is understandable as I don't know how busy they are. She is drinking water still and had a little play with Coco but is not her usually up beat happy self and just keeps walking around the house everywhere acting unsettled and will then lay for a bit but start walking around everywhere again. Is there anything else I can do to help?
  10. Yep mine have nick names too so does my cat and they all respond to them Dogs Misty-Moo Moo Coco-Coco Pops Cat Molly-Molly Dog
  11. I saw this ad on gumtree as well and they also have an adult dog on there for around the same price, I dind't think Labs cost that much though either
  12. My husky doesn't play with her kong neither just gives up and leaves it. Currently the hit is the Good Cuz dog toy she loves balls and the fact it squeaks appeals even more. During summer I also keep an ice-cream container fill it with water and put some mince patties or treats or advance wet food or a bone in it freeze it up them take it out of the container and she will just lay there licking it all day and then also keep occuppied with what comes out after it has melted. If I don't do these things she gets bored and digs
  13. I have been looking at new dog tags as one dog has recently broken her's. I found these on ebay too but wonder of the quality. What are they like? Would you think it'll last on 2 huskies collars who rough play etc?
  14. I thought this was a great idea too until my pup learnt she could fit through the gate! So I covered it up and then she learnt to climb it!! This was a toy poodle at 4 months of age; very intelligent dogs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. That's great news Don't worry I google diagnose too can't help myself
  16. The question might be best discussed in a new thread - not where someone's mourning the unfortunate loss of a puppy .... No worries
  17. I didn't want to know about this certain pup. I was simply curious in circumstances like this what happens? I wanted to hear from other breeders about what happens not from ineedsleep about what is happening with their dog. Sorry didn't know I couldn't ask questions on a public forum will keep that in mind thanks.
  18. My girl has the same but on the right and it's her microchip sort of feels like a large grain of rice my OH doesn't agree with that explanation but it's what I think it feels like  Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Sorry you had to go through this it is very hard. Just a question would a breeder in a situation like this get the ultrasound or just have the pup PTS? EDIT: To ellaborate what I actually wanted to know
  20. I'm sorry about your friend. I can't believe the owners just left her after she fell to the ground and said she was bitten : I just really can't believe that people can do that. I hope they are found and your friend is ok after this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'm so happy to hear she has found a wonderful home to call her own :) Well done to all who helped her and kept on until a home was found. You are truly wonderful people!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
