I got charged $85 today when I bought a 20kg bag

Right now I'm only 21 so no I don't really like kids. I do not hate them by any mean and I have 3 younger sisters and 1 younger brother so I am fine around kids just rather not be right now in this point of my life. I have friends that are all gooey for babies and kids but just not me nothing to do with my upbringing. And this doesn't mean I never want kids of my own of course later in life I want a family just not right now :) I am sure as I get older maternal instincts will come. I too would never tolerate bullying with kids if I had them and that behaviour is 100% on the parents who should've taught their kids to know better. But I don't think you can blame peoples parents and their upbringing for not liking children themselves it's just a personal preference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My kids have sleep overs (at home and at other people houses) and it is fine. It's not like I go out of my way to be nasty or anything I just prefer not to be around kids most of the time. I want my kids to have friends and because of that I try really hard to ignore the things that irritate me. I can interact with kids just fine when I want/need to and no, I don't think kids are thinking to themselves this women doesn't like me. I don't go about telling kids that I don't like them and I certainly make an effort with my kids friends and I do enjoy some children and I like babies. I don't feel comfortable with children once they are around 2 or more. I thought my own kids were gorgeous at that age and because they were mine I had no problems interacting with them, but other people kids, who I don't have a bond with (nor do I want or need one) I'd rather not have to 'pretend' to want to talk to or spend time with them because I really don't. Don't be sad for me, or my kids, they are loved and love me in return and have a very good life. As for other peoples kids, they're theirs to love, talk to, play with etc. The thing is, I resent that other people feel that I should like kids just because they feel strongly about it. +1

What is the problem not liking kids? Don't go and blame their parents or the upbringing you don't know what their childhood was like! What do you say about people who don't like cats and dogs? Oh blame their pet they had as a child? You know some people just don't like kids has nothing to do with their childhood. Currently in my stage of life I do not like kids and I haven't since I was a teenager. Eventually one day I will want to have children of my own but right now nope not for me. I hate going to the shops hearing screaming kids and I too wouldn't want to sit next to a child while flying after a previous experience I had on a flight which was a night mare. My OH's sister had a baby nearly 2 yrs ago and they lived in NSW at the time and I didn't want to hold him just not my cup of tea sorry I don't want a child spitting up on me that would make me sick. Now they live in QLD and it is awkward being around the child by myself but I am nice but I do not want to babysit once again not comfortable. A friend at work had a baby girl last year and I was very happy for her and have seen the baby but not held her or anything. Lots of people hate dogs and want nothing to do with them and don't want them in public places that is fine if they feel that way who am I to judge?

Don't worry I just adopted my first foster failure and was the first dog I had fostered :laugh: Her and my girl got along really well plus she is the sweetest thing no way I was letting her go! I want to keep fostering but OH doesn't trust me with not wanting to keep more

I too have heard about ppl who suffer Epelectic have dogs with them now and the dog knows when they are going to have a fit.

The ones I have are adult maybe that's the difference? Maybe just take away some biscuits and substitute an amount you think is reasonable just to finish the cans off, or if you don't really want to use them donate them to dog rescue. I usually keep cans on hand for little fuss pot who won't eat her biscuits :laugh: and just mix it through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do not know him. I have only read the story and the post's that have been posted in this thread and it saddens me that something like this could happen to someone that brought so much to others. I too hope for justice for him and his family.

Mine get bones and on the days they don't they get their teeth brushed (much to there dismay ) be good to stop if this works though.

On the cans of Advance it has just feeding can only and feeding dry and can together.

Denise is amazing, i've known her for quite a few years now. She always does the right thing by the dogs, no matter how hard that is. I too saw this last night. It is so good to see what she did for that dog and not take the easy way out :) I have just had to have that operation done on my dog and she to was too small for the balloon op, so it hits home for me Please let her know what she does is very appreciated!

May I ask why use tape the ears? Just curious is all. Is there a reason they do not go up naturally? I have never seen nor heard ear taping and I've never had a dog who's ears didn't go up by themselves Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think some people aren't aware of health clearances and temperment. I mean I grew up with dogs from pet shops or byb and never went to the vet and were fed cheapo food. Once again I think its an education thing that needs to get out there. My first dog with my partner was a byb dog as thats what I knew! Now since joining this forum I have learnt A LOT. My second dog was a registered dog but I didn't probe into questions as I assumed being a registered breeder all would be well and it hasn't been I know there aren't many unethical breeders out there but once again it was a learning curve for me and something that the public needs to know. Now after reading lots of threads I hope my next decision is a good one :) When emailing breeders I don't know what to say either and I have had a fair few breeders never reply to me I think breeders should reply to the one liners and one's with prices and educate them on how to go about it and then they will spread the word with their friends and family and maybe people will start to know what to do when it comes to registered breeders :) Can't do the right thing if no one knows how to do it

Yes it was the Huskys There has been a few growls from the new addition at dinner time. We got home late last night so they got fed later new husky (Mishka) started it we got her away but then Misty just bolted for her and went at her. Neither of us were expecting it but I guess Misty is fed up with it and just stating her position in the pack. Mishka urinated everywhere when it happened and was nervy the rest of the night. Today they are fine and happy as larry, playing together and slept in the bed with me this morning. Dinner time tonight was fine. We don't know much about Mishka's past this is her 3rd home and she is only 2. Guess she is scared she isn't going to get food and Misty will get it All dogs get fed seperately and its been that way since day 1. We will just keep an eye on it.
