  1. Yep, there were 16/17 yr olds and young kids nagging their parents or respective partners for a pup... it was a little bit of a shock.
  2. Finally found it... When Gus met Nala :) this times the charm As you may tell it is my first attempt at trying to add music lol... that failed epiclly.
  3. Actually, I think that it might have happened in a different order. The egocentric clueless individuals are why the breed is in such a predicament and why it has so many issues. They created the stigma. You're probably right there however the restrictions have increased this problem x1000. Now every douchebag out there wants a pitty and is breeding them in the shed. Pups can go for $1000 + with no proof of breed anyway... it was never that rampant before the restrictions. It was never that rampant untill the media started to exploit them lol.....im sure your average joe did not even know such a breed existed.
  4. I actually just think they are 12 year old kids who watch to much of sunrise in the morning? tbh... that is the only logical conclusion I have come to
  5. Has anyone purchased this product and what did they think of it??
  6. I saw this, it was pretty funny.
  7. Peanut butter would be way to high in fat content for a dog with pancreatitis. Sadly so are most cheeses (most dogs love cheese) Mixing stuff with her kibble is a good idea though, perhaps use low fat cottage cheese and some grated apple or carrot... Lol apologies i didnt realise there was a special diet involved....my bad, well scrap the peanut butter, have you tried pureed veggies with a low fat cottage cheese?.. or rice and low fat yogurt? can they eat rice :S.... the happy paws appetizer this in great I just bought some to sample... Gus LOVES it.
  8. Does she like peanut butter or cheese?? .... maybe mix a little in with her kibble or if she cant eat hard things cheese and minced bbq chook might do the trick.
  9. nawww thats a very cute story :)... they look so happy!!.
  10. aaa lol yea sorry it was a food stall, i didnt think it was called hydro.... well so did I until i heard someone say they are for sale, then I asked the stall managers and they confirmed what I heard. ... thought it was a little ironic having an Oscars Law stall and puppies being sold under the same roof :S... oh well hopefully they didnt sell any! Really? If I had heard this I would be speaking to the Expo Organisers to make sure it was above board and if not . . .dealt with so it doesnt happen again. Kittens for sale in the cat area were not being sold on the day.I enquired about Sphynx and was assured ads were to generate interest in a place of petlovers! I was going to say somthing to the info booth... but I felt a little awkward and didnt want to make a scene kind of thing.... i probably should have

  12. It is :D The dogs absolutely love it! We had lots of people come up and say hi on saturday, unfortunately Zero didn't go today because he's not well but he had a blast yesterday! yea I came to pat him :)
  13. Zero is pretty cute, but than he is a husky. :D What sort of pets? It's a while since I filled in the forms for The Expo, but I always thought that it was a definite NO. There were lab pups being sold, i asked if they came with papers and the lady directed me to some man who said no.... :S, I thought it was sus. Were they from Lab rescue? They also had kittens for sale at the cat show, but I think that's pretty usual because I've seen for sale signs up at the Royal Easter Show. I thought it was a photography place?, it was one of the middle stands, blue and there was a CKC (i think it was a ckc) in a red poke a dotted dress... not sure if it was lab rescue, you could call the "breeder" anyone who was interested the guy would pull out his phone and get him on the line.... :S I just didnt think lab pups would be sold I don't think it was a photography place. It might of been food of some sort. Hypro something? No it wasnt the hydro place, its the stall diagonal from the info stand, there was a big pen in the middle, 3 lab pups and 1 pug
  14. Unfortunately yes, egocentric clueless individuals are more inclined to be attracted to this breed due to the stigma they carry.... but i would like to think if such a big deal wasnt made of them if this would still be the case.

  16. APBT's come in all colours (except merle and blue) If only the ACO's thought this, we'd have no pitbulls in pounds and thousands would've been saved from BSL! Perhaps they'll add colour to the checklists.... I do shudder to think you feel the BM's you met were absolutely harmless. Though i'm stoked you have a good feel about BM's. Geo, are you on the attack, sounds like it?? No they are merely educating you... id be taking the information on board
  17. Well im the girl with the partner who had a massive obsession with them :) hahah OH loves them!!... when we are ready for another dog im very sure your dogs have convinced him a dogue is the right breed.
  18. I would be inclined to tell them to wait till their daughter is older and they have a place of their own,
  19. they came vaccinated, I over heard a sales lady say they are for sale, and I said "oh are the pups for sale", she said yes do you want one... like they were a goodie bag... I have to say the de borax's are a must see!! absolutely stunning!! the OH is infatuated haha

  21. Darlin go back in your 70's, 80's see what the "killer dog" of that time was... rotties got a run so did GSD....government is getting reports some irresponsible dog owners pitty has bitten someone and boom they need to have a quick fix....do you really think the culling and banning of this breed is the solution?? no, education is the solution... it doesnt help that the media is not interested unless its a bully breed of some sort... some roosters were bred for fighting... iv nearly had my eye gouged out by one of them.. you think there is a ban on that? no....and tbh most small dog owners are the worst half the time... and a dog in a freaking cage and muzzled all its life IS NO LIFE FOR A DOG, lock your dog up in a concrete cage 24/7... see how he/she likes it
  22. WOOOHOOO ZERO!!! omg his so cute!!... and all the other flyballers good run :) looks like so much fun! p.S i didnt know pets were being sold there? is that usual practice?
  23. Sorry you had that experience, but any breed can be aggressive... maybe was a dog aggressive dog, there are plenty of them........ doesn't mean they are spoken about as much, my parents maltese terrier is dog aggressive, she would do a lot more damage to another dog than Nala would thats for sure. And you cant compare pittys in the US to the ones here, different culture.... Its actually pretty funny when we are walking the two and people steer clear of Nala but go to pat the maltese without asking..... and I have to quickly stop them and say its her you have to worry about... and guide their petting hands to Nala's direction.
  24. beagle? - might have a high prey drive... but every beagle i've met has been such a chilled out thing
