I have been slack in training, just because i dont know how to make it interesting, I need to start everything from scratch starting on the basics... Gus has them but not nailed them and its purely my lazy fault. I want to start with a clicker, i tried this before and once again got lazy because i lacked full understanding. What are some great "Guide to training" Material? some suggestions i am also interested in targeting... knowledgeable people enlighten me?

Lol i might have to crate him for that, knowing nala she will tag team to help him get if off, thoes two are a force together....

omg what an awesome name!!!, as a child i loved The Never Ending Story so sooo much, it was watched nearly once a month for a good 3-4 years, even now i will attempt to watch it once a year! and it suits the pup quite a bit i see a resemblance of Falkor!! haha his a beauty Good Luck.

Well, he'd probably only try the chilli once! Abby loooooooove chilli- she ended up with diarrhoea when we spread it all over some pots she was chewing!! I haven't had anyone like the bitter spray though. ok hopefully i may have some luck with the spray then...... but as i have stated somewhere else before.. Gus eats fire starters without a second reaction....(thats probably not to good for him, but he got to a packet once when we were out and buried them we assume because even though we have gotten rid of all fire starters from his grubby little reach we will manage to find them laying around covered in dirt!. ) ow what am i to do with this boy!, such a disobedient trouble maker of a puppy!!
-
Tape his mouth shut! (that was a joke) Have you tripe the bitter wound spray you can get, to see if that helps him leave it? I have not tried that yet, ill try look for some, all the vets around me are an absolute rip off, found some!!!! for a fraction of the price the vets sell them for :). Putting through order today.... but knowing Gus he might like it!! how bad is chilli for dogs?
-
I'm having absolutely no luck with this tail!, it wasn’t bleeding for a few days then Sunday night.... started up again, I have been taping it with super strength physio tape stuff, and this awesome gel cushioning thing that you use for a bung finger or toe, and I put lavender oil over it.... the silly dog still bit it all off and left some bald patches in his tail trying to get the tape off .... what am I to do!....

I need one of those to make jerky! Best thing i ever bought
-
I bought a dehydrator and I just make my own treats lol, cheaper and i know what goes in them!, but i buy kibble from here and their service is excellent, might try these muscles haha Gus is Master Ov Steel Stomach...... the kid eats fire starters without a second reaction....

Well that is what i would think... i think this vet may have an issue with pitt mixes since that is what she most possibly is, some pit and great dane mix, i dont think any other vet would be reacting like this.... i will call the pound today... i attempted to call council before but my god they are impossible to get a hold of sometimes
-
You can enter those shows, they are All Breeds Championship shows. Each show is run by a club, they all have different names. Is there a guide to showing or something? i still dont understand how it all works?
-
No contact has been made at all, i'd love to know which vet this is, apparently the pup is crossed with a dane or something and is no more than 3 months, its paws are massive..... I just dont think this vet has morally the best intentions since they were so quick to want to put her down. .....
-
So, the vet ended up with the pup? Your friend didn't take it to the pound ..and so, you think pup has been euth'ed? No friend didnt take it to the pound because vet did not let him, vet said they would take care of it from here, to call the pound in a week.... he asked the vet to put his name against her. Called the pound today, dog has not been taken to the pound, called the vet pup is still there
-
Just found out the pup never made it to the pound, the vet did not release the pup to my friend and he had requested they take her to the pound and put his name against her......this has still has not been done so, this is the same vet that wanted to put the pup to sleep on arrival.
-
But now the pup can hopefully go back to the owners who possibly mistreat it, dont look after its medical issues and generally possibly just dont care about it, now it can have years of suffering. Sometimes the "right thing" is not necessarily the best thing. Edit: In case it is not clear, I am not having a go at TheCheekyMonster. If they don't give a shit about the puppy, it's highly unlikely they will pay the pound and rego fees required to get it out. So if the pup was being mistreated, it's unlikely to go back to uncaring owners. This is why my friend has put his name against the pup in the event the owners dont show up in the weeks time frame given, thus giving him, myself and OH a chance to re home her to a loving home.... i wouldnt want him keeping her she is too special and needs lots of care, his just not experienced enough and as much as he wants her i think he knows this too, its just a matter of getting this girl to a loving home whom are willing to carry on her medical treatment.

Can you just enter a dog in any show you want or does it have to be specific to a dogs experience?? im always nervious when i enter in shows, we have only been in one show before a few months ago, and i have been whimping out ever since.
-

Dalmatian = Croatian :) yes... but not fluently. -
Will do, I have a feeling he wont be able to care for her long term, she needs experienced owners who are financially able to care for her, a 21 year old who doesnt have experience in dog ownership dont think will cut it, but I guess I will know more about the situation in a weeks time.
