I'm in the market to buy a show lead for Gus, the one I have will be useful for when his a little more experienced and behaved, but for his next show 1 July I will need a more reliable show lead. What do people suggest?
-
Maybe he brings out her cheeky side?...my OH swears Nala never chews, rips, destroys things but I have seen her egg Gus on then let him carry out the work... point to soil with her nose then he will dig, play with him near pot plants then push him into them so they break, make a tear in toys and let him finish off the rest... its funny, dogs do funny things when a pup comes home.

I envy you because you own the Handsome Ziggy!! his so beautiful!!... and white! hahah -
I have never had a problem with it, our guys love pork bones... im not sure which part of the pig it is, but its a huge bone that the dogs gnaw on all day... and the butcher gives it to me for free...dogs eat weeks old rotted bones that they have dug up... im sure parasites would grow on that as well? Note: All Raw

Curious as to why you dont feed pig meat/bones?
-
Pork bones yes, ham bones i wouldnt.... I just wouldnt want to risk it.

:) Yeap she found her feet, and is blossoming, cant wait to watch her grow up!
-
Yeap.... not sure about her name though... that i must say is not really to my liking but hey i guess thats the least of her worries... He names her Rouge

He reported the vet to the pound and they chased it up from there, she was on the register for a week no one claimed her so he got the call to come pick her up, she is registered and microchipped under his name now and she is also being so spoiled with toys!! and food, she is very thin so he is trying to fatten her up.... she looks a lot smaller in real life than in the photos, still a very big puppy but the pound registered her as a bull arab x (we think dane)
-
Well my friend now has the pup, and to be honest i never thought he would fork out so much money and be so involved with her im so impressed. She did contract Kennel Cough from the pound so he is treating her for that, he has also booked her in to get desexed when the time is right, she is the most beautiful little girl, just wants to be held and laze about all day, she loves playing with other dogs and shows no sign of aggression at the moment, just a beautiful placid little thing, her blood count is on the climb and on its way to being normal, Vet said that may be a contributing fact to the heart murmur so he is monitoring that very closely. I'm so glad she had a loving home now and that he has a support network our friend who works at petbarn gets everything at cost price +10% so he is helping our friend out heaps in the toys, bedding and food department.... the little girl has "crossed fingers" found her new forever home.

I always feel bad leaving them in the rain, there is a huge under cover veranda that is theirs but its obviously not cosy enough because they will always jump the fence to the balcony near the house
-

Inanimate objects, Gus started this during a fear period and it has stuck with him..... he is a princess in the dark, and in the laundry when there is baskets on the floor.... also a new one, stupid kid out the back keeps kicking his soccer ball at the fence then stamping his feet when Gus barks.... Gus is very very much not a fan.. poor baby. -

When you get a APBT with any breed people give you looks, but when my parents Maltese terrier milly, Nala (APBT) and Gus (Dally) all play at the park people stop in amazement that all 3 get along so well. -
Poor little guy is just scared of the dark. Lmao, biggest biggest princess he is....... i open the back door and say "Gus toilet", he will run a little out do a uey then come back in and hide behind me..... say it again "Gus come on, Toilet" this time ill walk out with him.... he walks behind me peeking out behind my thights, quickly runs out, finds a patch then runs back in with this expression on his face like he saw a ghost.

On this subject of peeing, even when it isnt raining i've noticed Gus will not pee unless i go out with him at night time... probably not a good thing is it.
-
Ow you should see our two princesses in the rain, they tip toe, so no sympathy works... I just boot them out for 15 minutes so they have no choice but to do what they need to then come in hahah :)
-
I really hope so, his so silly though, his tail would clearly hurt yet he has not a care in the world, its like the kid has no pain thresh hold, i have had to get rid of the crate and make sure his not in any confined area so that the chance of him banging his tail is slim
-
Gus went to the vet on Friday night because his tail started up again and the tip was starting to swell, I was given 3 options. 1. Take it back to the healthiest vertibrea 2. Stretch the skin over the v that has been taken out of the tip 3. Wrap it for 3 weeks with anti-biotics and see how it heals. I chose to do options 3 first with the possibility of this doesnt work we will have to snip his tail a little, if that happens might as well chop his man bits as well, i dont think you can show a dog with a bung tail lol.
