Okay,I'm confused and have another question... Sent of entry form the weekend before last, and recieved my self addressed envelope in the mail today with nothing in it. Where do I go from here? Do I get my number on the day (and where)? What about the catologue...?

You could try going completely raw (went to raw for another reason), anyhow it worked for us .

Omg! I was going to ask this exact same question! I checked out one of the local shows here yesterday and about 99% of the dogs were in crates (and with wheels!) and I thought it might just be the 'done' thing now...gee so so different to 20 or so years ago. :)

That second girl looks Chi-ish, and it's possible that there was more rhan one sire to the litter.

I always get "Oh wow! We used to have Shepherds (GSD's) they were really big! Yours looks small/is going to be small..." Then I tell them about the height standard and that mine is complient (dead silence) I hate how people think that they're supposed to be huge...maybe if you're a kid! And stop making up stories about your giant GSD's!

Just had a look at our rules and it states that cats should be locked up at night to protect them from other cats, cars and killing wildlife. So it seems that they are expected to wander.

A dog walker near my cousin's house used to always let her dog defecate on my cousin's footpath or garden. He got sick of having to pick it up, so knowing where she lived, he put a parcel in her letter box. She never lets her dog go there anymore. :) Absolute gold!!!

Well there you go...I never knew that animals had to be restrained- although mine always is!

I have no doubt my GSD would kill a cat...which worries me as we have an indoor only cat that only ever gets to go outside when he escapes. (but I'm going to start another topic on that) I would be angry if my dog copped the blame for someone elses responsibility.

Okay, complete newbie in this area...and I need some help filling out the entry form. So what do I put for these things? (the dog I want to enter is an 8 month old GSD bitch) Entered in breed class Nos: ? Entered in special class Nos: ? Entered in trial class type: ? Date of fixture (is this the date of the show?) Entry fees (there's 3 lots, $10 sweepstakes $5 catalogue $3 I have no idea lol) Members Subcription ? Sundries ? CHQ. No ( what if I can't write out a cheque?) Think that's all... Thanks

I agree with the others, there's no aggression here. And it looks like a rock in the water that's to large for the Staffy to get.

Kizzy, I'm sorry for the loss of your dog. That's no way for a rescue group to behave.

I wouldn't need to disclose simply because I would not taken on and rehome a dog that had serious issues such as these. If you adopt from a reputable rescuer you are likely to have a sound dog. There need to be more honest people out there, and EVERYTHING good or bad needs to be disclosed IMO.

I don't think everyone would withhold the information of a dogs past. I guess it depends on their ethics Yeah, I know, that's why I said some.

It is this very reason that I will not adopt a dog... Everything should be disclosed- sadly this is not the case for some.
