I think I may fall into the snob catorgory... I prefer my animals to be from reputable registered breeders, than some byb wanker out to make some quick sad cash... Edit* with that said, I don't qualify farmers as bybs as they breed to deliver a purpose....though they, like others, breed first for themselves, and then for others.

It was alleged that they were were not vet treated? But investigations were unable to prove any offences had actually occurred. the girl who got bitten was a good friend of the owner as was her boyfried, So why is this in the abused/rescue section? Confused...!

Yep, cried as well... but any human helping an animal in need makes me teary. Won't buy their food though, as we prefer to feed raw, however we do donate from time to time to animal welfare oraganizations.

Looks husky-ish ... but who really knows? *shrug*

My first show in 20 years is coming up this weekend, and I personally would just scratch the dog- had she a mark like that, and aim for next time.

I believe it's the smartest breed followed by the Border Collie and then the GSD. :) It doesn't have to be kept in a frou frou clip either. Is it? I thought Borders were! Well there ya go :)

Why doesn't her husband like poodles? Some look exactly like the inferior (not trying to offend anybody here) product when unclipped. Or a Curley Coated Retriever?

Definitely ask what your dog has (allegedly) done- and then for proof.

We talking about the bolded stories at the top of the page? Two stories of dogs attacking either each other or another dog. Two stories of dogs hanging themselves. Two stories of dogs getting out of the yard and being knocked over and killed. One story of a dog being poisoned. Those ones? I wondered the same thing TT and how it was relevant to this discussion (ie. the OP was about a dog biting a child). It's just another excuse for the Bull breed haters, to jump on the media hysteria bandwagon. You might tell that to the sites owner then?

Oh well nevermind, it was more to the point of as dog owners we're becoming more and more complacent until something bad happens.

Have you asked why he was declared dangerous? Seems strange they would just slap you with that order without an explanation.

Would that be suitable for a GSD? It's held my adult borzoi. you buy to compost bin packs which gives you 8 panels. you would need to secure it down with pegs and i use zip ties to clip each panel together. you make a rectangular shape, so 2 panels on one side and one on the other with 2 overlapping panels on top. its not as secure as a proper crate but still pretty decent and cheap. Will have to check it out- it has to be strong enough to hold a very boisterous 8 month old pup! Lol
