  1. My 9 month old GSD steps on my feet - how do I train her not to? I don't know if she realizes it or not, it's annoying as she's quite heavy and often has muddy feet. Lol Ideas please :)
  2. Phenomav does cause ataxia- if the dose is correct, your dog will become accustomed to its lack of control.
  3. You can't- unless you remove the dogs. Too many variables, people often learn from mistakes too- so it can be from a learning prospective; ie offlead dog goes into prey drive (for the first time) after it sees a SWF whizz by- responsible owner after that keeps dog on leash whenever out and about ect ect.
  4. Thanks for the link clears things up I think. Lucas is such a cute puppy :)
  5. I'm off to look for pictures now!
  6. Very cute! OT... I wasn't aware Aussie ears could actually stand up? (obviously it's not a fault for dropped ears in the SR)
  7. Should be more awareness regarding mircro chipping for the general public- I'm willing to bet that most wouldn't know that it's compulsory. A reporting line (for people who wish to buy from byb's and the like) would also be grand...for failure to comply. Might become a great deterrent for those doing the wrong thing... Otherwise how do you police this sort of thing?
  8. A bit of both (but you could hardly say a dog should be 'blamed' for its actions).
  9. Yay! That's awesome! Will definitely have to look into this further if ours doesn't stop :)
  10. Did you end up getting the collar? Seems our 9month old GSD has taken up this game as well- though its not with dogs on the other side, it's kids.
  11. ^ just noticed that! Ours used to do this too- until we built a fence just for her! Now she just looks at it wistfully...Hahaha!
  12. Our dog will eat absolutely anything! Lol
  13. Keep your dogs away from children then? I would presume having the dogs behind a fence on your property would be considered keeping them away from the children! Totally agree minimax. The OP's dog was in its own yard. The children were poking stuff through the fence. That's not normal 'exploring' and should not be allowed. The OP should not have to put up with that. +1
  14. I agree, 'the what is my dog' threads should be all posted under the M&M topic.
  15. Haha it's funny how a couple of photos tell a different story! Yep, agree he looks like a a Mal :)
  16. Don't think the heads right for pure Mal/Mal x I think gsd x Gorgeous boy though!
  17. Nah, you don't have to be an 'expert' to supervise your kids in your own yard (or anywhere else for that matter)...
  18. 7 years old is old enough to understand that it's not ok to upset the dogs. I can understand a toddler doing it but you shouldn't be making excuses for him at that age. Defineately agree :) At 7yrs of age (and younger) my two would comment on the little shits from next door rileing up the neighbours acd by running a stick back and forth along its fence.
  19. Good on ya Ziggy!!! God I'd be annoyed if one of my kids had ever done that...but ya know, they learnt respect at a very young age :) Just the other day I had to inform the kids from next door not to put their fingers through the fence to try and pay our extremely boisterous 9 month old gsd...while their mother was watching...!
