  1. I saw that, and also didn't find it funny (then again half the stuff they have on there isn't)
  2. Yeah- that's where I've seen them... I'd rather report them and not have to deal with the trail of abuse that'll likely follow...would the council act on these or is it another piece of useless legislation?
  3. Hmm...I think that's a great idea.
  4. I start at the front, then move to the back....and praise! praise! praise! Always start off slowly (don't over do your trading sessions) and use food as a reward :)
  5. Seen so many ads where they state 'micro chipping at buyers expense'. Thought they had to be microchipped before they changed hands or when they turned 8 weeks old (which ever occurred first). Seems as though this is working as a loophole, and buyers are none the wiser with this agreement... Can you report such ads to the council?
  6. Does it rush anyone else's dogs? If it does then anyone[i/] could have reported it..
  7. How do these stories even make it to the papers anyway? Are the parents making some money on the side? Jeez- maybe I should ring and tell them that my cat keeps chasing after and attacking me with his teeth and claws every time I walk down the hall way...
  8. Why were the paramedics called if it were only cuts and abrasions?
  9. You can have this for a 'non roach back' pic. Please don't comment on anything else though- she's only 6-7 months in the picture (so at an awkward stage) so hasn't finished growing.
  10. Yep, they are all classed as large breeds, anything bigger like a Dane or St Bernard is a giant breed. Border Collie size is medium, Sheltie size is small, Papillons, etc are toy size. Actually, GSD's are classed as medium sized dogs, here is an extract from the ankc standard: General Appearance: The German Shepherd Dog is of medium size, slightly elongated, strong and well muscled, with dry bone and of firm overall structure
  11. Here's hoping that they're both desexed...
  12. Puts them in the same height bracket as GSD's and the ones that are within the standard I wouldn't classify as 'large' (though I am tall so that may have something to do with it) ;)
  13. Wow- I'm surprised at the height standard for the breed- I always thought that they were supposed to be large- or maybe it's just their coat and tail making them appear bigger?
  14. Boo to the dogs roaming the streets, and yay to the ranger to pick them up. So sick of irresponsible people- they're blimin' everywhere.
  15. Does doing this mean anything? Yes- when she does it, she's actually laying a scent marker for herself and other dogs. Dogs have scent glands on their paws, scratching the ground releases the pheromones from the glands.
  16. I have no idea, but my 10month old GSD entire bitch scratches/kicks the earth sometimes after doing no 2's.
  17. Fav- Any of the working breeds Least- Dogs that have no manners/training/aggressiveness
  18. Okay, We were practicing our recalls and got several chances to push her off- but this resulted in her jumping back, and then jumping up (at me). Not cute *shakes head*
  19. Yes, this is what Fenrir does this as well, (when she's greeting me also) it's like she's unaware of what her feet are doing. She bounces around so can't push her off as its a quick step on feet- bounce off. Occasionally she'll do it while we're doing heel work, so am yet to try.
  20. (some) Bandogs contain pitbull so they could be classified.
