We have chickens and I hope our boy will live in peace with them, I have heard socialising them when young.. Did you just get get your chickens? Curious as to if you socialised them when pup was small?

Hey Teela my heart goes out to you.. can I also just say might be a good idea to watch your son in this emotional time. I am not sure how old he is but children can be really effected by accidents like this, they can internally blame themselves ... I hope the outcome at the vets is a posative one :-)

I think it also depends on the person as well.. We are getting an airdale ( he will be born any day :-) This will be our first dog but I am very strong minded and going to go to training also reading so much.. My partner had a very strong staffy and was fabulous at training his dog when younger.. I guess it also helps witha strong breed that the other person is able to support you if needed/ challenged..

LMAO Jordan this is me lol, our pup is due this week and I had to email just to see how mum is esp with the heat we have had of late here in Brisbane. I am so excited and am now constantly daydreaming of our pup lol.. Good luck :-) I am lucky as I missed out last time I am top if the list this time and mum has 12 pups :-) woohoo..

Good point show dog,I have been agonising if I should let our pup outside in the yard alone when I go back to work, he will be safe but I worry he will be scared or taken.. I need to get over this :-)

I Also saw renting as dead money but if you cant afford a mortgage at this point in time and you want your dream job then I guess renting is the only answer.. In this field does experience count on pay increase, would your pay increase over time? Incentives? Renting maybe short term ..

Do you need to own your own home? In today's market and ongoing expenses I know of a lot of people who are opting to rent.. I guess it's also how high you set your expectations as in price of mortgage, price of rent you want to pay.. Who know's what the future will bring, why not take a chance maybe a handsome dog owner will walk through the door lol lol. I really don't know why a single person with no children could not live on that wage you just need to lower your living lifestyle no more $$$ on materialistic things I guess.. Life is too short do want you want...

I'm going to put a second order in too!! Lol can't beat the price on the kong alone petshop near me has the large at $40!! Didn't think to check out the books/DVDs :-( it's annoying Xmas is so close $$$ :-( I put mine in and selected the pickup option, no charge for delivery then and put a coment into be shipped to billing address.. So excited can't wait for it to come :-) the collars are cute..

Maybe she kept up with the grooming but it got too much for her, busy lifestyle maybe.. I presume your dog was not neglected in any other way? Hope the hair grows back soon :-)
