  1. I feed them frozen too , Rogue loves them and they last a little longer :-) I feed him the necks frozen as well, Rogue loves these also they don't take long to defrost anyway, I think half way through eating them they are soft :-)
  2. And maybe they have a life and are busy lol.. Rather surprised me, too. There's a difference between just reading a post or topic....& making a decision to reply. People can read posts or topics to their hearts content. That doesn't place some obligation on them to respond.
  3. Funny your on a public forum but you value your privacy lol I really don't know why people would go anonymous, people don't know you anyway, your just a name ?? Each to their own :-)
  4. Ouch poor boy, looks really saw that I think if you attempted to cut it out it would hurt..
  5. Go figure... I shake my head, is it just me or do "some" vets come across as money grabbers?? Maybe I am becoming synical ...
  6. Ha Cleveland she is only 10 weeks toilet training can take months lol Rogue is Gee nearly 6 mths and he isn't 100% trained .. maybe toilet then crate her during the day taking her out to toilet very 20 - 30 mins play and toilet before going back in crate her bladder isn't large enough to hold for very long. :-) Can't help with the poo eating we don't have that issue yuck take care
  7. I find what this council has done outrages and absurd.. That would mean we all need to watch out In case our dogs parents attack or injure another dog and like mymatejack said we are only in control of our own dogs training and socialisation.. I wonder Rebecca if you just challenge them with the QLD act part 4 they will back down .. Good luck to you I would have a lawyer on hand also I am still dumbfounded by this..
  8. So glad we crate trained, rogue sleeps like a baby in the lounge room he loves his crate.. good for quiet times too :-)
  9. Some people are pathetic .. Your poor dad, I hope your able to get rid of these scumbags..
  10. Yes I agree Lavendergirl I was't impressed with all the dogs together in an open space all types/breeds large and small.. And yes the woman fair enough your not a dog person but gosh you could be a little nicer... Going back to the daycare is this typical open plan or are their others where they are in kennels?? Anyway like I said I wouldn't use one If I am socialising my boy I want to be in control and know he is safe anyway... I saw that episode of Celebrity Apprentice - how precious were those women? Screaming "shut-up" at the dogs and screeching "ewwww" about the smell. The men's group were much nicer to the dogs. The facilities looked fairly typical of many where they just mix all size dogs in one big room. I would not touch one of those with a barge pole and I think 4 months is way too young for "day-care" especially for a small breed dog.
  11. Scary stuff hope the outcome is a posative one . I did read a local story in the paper they are cracking down on dangerous dog ( dangerous breeds) but it makes no sense without a compkiant.. Could a neighbour have complained ? some people are petrified of some breeds and may have conplained just because they think your dog is a pity or something similar.. I was thinking you lived in Victoria but your a fellow QLDer I hope we are not going down the same track...
  12. Good luck gemsan sounds like you going about your search with your eyes open :-) wow what a price difference eek ..
  13. I watched a recent episode of the apprentice ( aussie) and they were filming in a dog daycare and i wasn't impressed at the facitilies /set up. Not sure if they all follow guidelines but I would join a club or something to socialise but that's just me :-) Maybe really look around when you go, just drop in unannounced so to speak :-) I am sure like child care there are good and bad.. good luck..
  14. My little man Airedale terrier won't touch dry food, I feed raw he loves chicken wings, chicken carcus, necks and his patties and of course his brisket bones .. Do you have to feed dry food? I'm actually glad my guy didn't as I prefer raw food ..
  15. I didn't realise until we got rogue just how expensive vets are, lucky we got pet insurance but still .. The 24 hr vet at wooloongabba is $130 initial fee I just find that ridiculous , lucky for me they waved it when I thought a residual due claw nail stump was a tick LMAO .. Stay strong lilly's mum , it is sad though when decisions have to be made on money .... Thoughts are with you..
  16. Car sick yuck, ginger tablets worked for our baby ..
  17. I have something in my eyes :-)
  18. Hey mollyrulz the books I have read say to I thought that may have been why .. I bought everything to add to mine ( I was going to use dr billinghurst method as I've read all his books) but I decided to keep going with the barf patties for now, lazy lol.. Do a search on here re feeding raw someone has a great recipe and experience re this :-) Good luck with your poo eater lol icky :-)
  19. Do you add any vitamins to the mix, flax oil, kelp powder?? Just curious :-)
  20. Thank weasels that was an interesting article. I believe so, especially when they are about a year old. Testosterone ahoy... Edit - http://www.dogstardaily.com/training/dog-communication - under "puppy license to misbehave" it talks about the testosterone patterns in adolescent dogs
