  1. Having a quick google on 'doggy diapers' show that they aren't overly expensive for the dog specific variety
  2. I think if it's an emotional incontinence issue the nappies wouldn't be a 'band aid' solution, they're just there until the dog feels less stressed by being allowed back on the bed. Also if it turns out to be physiological issue, would the nappies still be considered 'cruel' ??
  3. Perhaps you could try and see how she goes with the makeshift nappy, and if she looks like she's not uncomfortable with wearing it, then look at something, or buy the smallest pack of doggy diapers that you can find to trial if she would actually wear something like that, saves you ruining expensive items if she wont wear it.
  4. It may work but it doesn't sound like it would be overly comfortable though - the poise or similar products sticky back may catch some of your girls fur..
  5. Aww! Such a hard life for some isn't it Beautiful girl
  6. It sounds like the breeder knew to tug on your heart strings.. Of course you'd get attached to the puppy after you've got him home etc... the breeder got the money, and got rid of the puppy who they obviously knew they would have had to pts. What a sad and difficult situation, I really feel for you. Sometimes the best option is not always the easiest, but as previously mentioned, the quality of life for the puppy wont be a good one, and the out of pocket expenses for this little pup would be quite large.. It's not always about the money, but sometimes you need to think about things logically. Good luck with your decisions..
  7. Love it when the dogs weave through the posts so quickly!
  8. Hoping no news is good news and your little pom is doing well...
  9. I think if he was at that park, he must live relatively close by. If you give the rangers / police a description of the man and dog, they hopefully might be able to pick him up - one would assume if he has a boxerX he'd be exercising it a lot.
  10. 3rd last pic is beautiful.. Can see the love! I must say all colours are very attractive. Is it true light coloured noses are more prone to sunburn though?

I think the conclusion should be: Vodka for the OP Saline solution / weak salt solution for the injury
  12. I'd report too. That is scary, especially when the dog + owner both appear unpredictable. If he's going to swear and carry on like a fruit loop, and threaten you(and seemingly in front of his SON, it's lucky you and your puppy were unharmed! I'd say a long line is still classed as leashing - You still have the ability to restrict the line to a shorter length if need be, unlike if he was totally off leash. Definitely kudos for keeping calm, I have no doubt that it would have been very hard to do.

If you ask my Dad, just put neat vodka on the wound. Saline definitely sounds like the better option for peace of mind, or possibly ask a vet what they'd suggest to be able to make up a pet friendly mix.

Salt water wash is also good for human eyes.. Conjunctivitis etc. Obviously eyes and other mucus membranes can be 'over salted' but I wasn't aware that wounds could be. As they say too much of anything is bad for you, so I'm sure this rule applies to everything. But then, I work in finance at a school, perhaps I could count the granules for you instead? Off topic but now I've been reminded of chicken salt, I want KFC chips!! :D
  21. Are you kidding me? What on Earth would've possessed her to dye your kitten pink? The poor thing must've been terrified from the experience as I'd imagine it would've involved being bathed. I hope it scratched the s*** out of her. What an absolute jerk of a housemate and a very pathetic "friend". It did scratch her, Thankfully. Her hands / arms were cut up, and my bath was stained pink so I assume she gave her a pink bath. I've never been one to yell, or start a fight with someone, but boy did I. Karma though, she ended up and a stripper a few years later, and from what I'm told still is It's so nice to hear all these lovely stories of caring housemates and partners. It's good to know a vast majority of people have good souls! Just the odd few who are a**holes..

I often cut myself whilst in the kitchen Salt water is always a winner here too, for that reason! I've always just added enough sea salt to make the water (lukewarm) taste slighty salty. Usually works, and heals up fairly quickly too!
