Will do Rebanne! Sounds good :D
-
Hi LucyCharzie, I didn't get mine yesterday either, so expecting them today too. Good luck! :)
-
Thanks Alyosha! I think we'll be fine once we get this one over with ;)
-
I may just come and introduce myself! Thanks! :)

Thanks for that Rebanne! I just called, and we are entered, Mrs Humphries just was waiting on a few more to come in and she plans to cash the remaining few tomorrow. Numbers were posted out on Friday, so here's hoping they'll be here today or tomorrow! It's fair to say I'm getting a bit nervous now! I did get some good advice from SwaY on the weekend, so that has helped tremendously!! I'm sure we'l fumble through it. Cane Corso is our breed :D

Hi Flashsmum, In MHO think this is not only careless, but rude! I too have large dogs, and whenever we take them camping, they are always secured when we're not watching them, and if they are off leash, they are supervised. I wouldn't dream of just letting them wander especially at night and if other campers are around!! Maybe I am just more aware that due to their size, people are intimidated by them? Anywhoo...that's my 2 cents. :)

YAY!!! Go Hudson!! Well done!

Hi All! We sent off our first ever entry at the start of November to enter Kilmore on the 1st Dec, but my cheque hasn't been cashed yet. Is anyone else entered here and if so has your cheque been cashed? If it doesn't get cashed today, do you think it's ok for me to call the Show Secretary and enquire? Thanks!

Hi All, I just thought I'd share this site with you all (you're probably all on to it already). http://www.dogshaming.com/ It gives me a giggle at least once a day :D Enjoy!

Thanks guys! I think she's got a bit of spunk! She already had me wound around her paw!
-
Rofl Love it :) :)

Seems i managed to attach it sideways

Thanks Caesars Mum! She's gorgeous and eager to please. I'm sure she's going to mature in to a wonderful girl as long as we keep a firm hand with her ;) BTW Your boy in your pic is very handsome!
-
I have that concern too Kavik. I think I'll just need to try and ensure that there's nothing in her way! I hope your boy came through it ok? Thanks for understanding where I'm coming from!

Thanks for that BC Crazy! That makes me feel better. good to hear I'm not the only one holding my breath and watching her acrobatics :) I have learned to stay out of the way, as she does a very good job of scaring the pants off me when she turns in my direction!! I will just take a xanax and watch from the kitchen :D

Hi Nekhbet, 'Avoid' was probably the wrong word. Im not preventing her at all and I'm all for puppies being puppies, but when army rolls and skidding around corners is invloved then I get a bit concerned I just want to make sure it's not detrimental to her. Maybe I need to find an empty paddock with big wide open space :) Please don't be under the impression that she is a 'locked up pup' as that's not the case at all. Thanks for your advice.
-
Thanks everyone! I was just a bit concerned as she doesn't do corners so well and ends up army rolling! Doesn't miss a beat, just keeps on zooming as she rolls out if it. The only time she's restricted us during the day while we're at work, other than that she has free run. I think I'm just a little over cautious (read paranoid) after my last girl (great Dane x) having hip issues as I wasn't as educated about it as I am now. I just want to give her the best possible start :)

Hi All! I've just become the proud mum of a 5 MO Cane Corso. She's a beautiful girl who loves a cuddle, but is also an absolute loon! I'm trying to avoid the backyard Zoomies, so I'm hoping you all could give me some ideas of safe ways to expend her crazy amounts of energy? Also, as a second question, could someone let me know the 'danger period'? The age when they are most vulnerable to joint issues? Thanks!!

Best Specialists In Melbourne
Kahnazhu replied to apexboxers's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi Daniela, I'm voting for Advanced Vetcare in Kensington too. We had or girl operated on there recently and David was fantastic!! The good thing was that as we're about 1 1/2 hours away from Melbourne, we could pick her up late as they have a 24 hour emergency dept. David ha briefed the night shift staff so they could give us all the info we needed. He also made a point of calling after she'd had her MRI to recommend surgery and talked me through everything. Another vote goes to Ray Ferguson at Monash. Same girl saw him for her hips. She had a course of stem cell therapy with Ray and he also showed us how to do particular exercises with her for her back and hips. We live even further away to Monash, but I would do it all again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Unfortunately we lost our girl the other week, but if I had another dog that needed those treatments I would be back in a flash. Definitely both my top choices. -
Thanks for that AJ. Off to the vet on Saturday, so I've got some footage of him doing it. I'm just hoping that it's nothing serious.

Hi All, I'm hoping someone might have some info. We have a 6 MO JRT puppy, who I have noticed when he is sitting relaxed, not doing anything, his head will bob or nod a couple of times. Then if i watch it'll happen again a minute or so later. It doesn't happen when he's sleeping or playing/active. We haven't been to the vet yet, he doesn't seem to be affected by it, but it is concerning me. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Thanks!

Vet Recommendation For Sports Dog
Kahnazhu replied to megan_'s topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi Megan, I'd recommend Ray Ferguson at Monash Vet too. He has been very good with our great dane x who has some back issues. He's recommended stretches etc as well as pain relief. He also breeds Greyhounds. I found him to be very good. -
Thanks for your wealth of info too Inevitablue! You've been invaluable!!
