Suziewong thank you do much for you honest post I really appreciate it after reading it I'm thinking maybe something smaller unless I could go d an older lab is proberly a better solution until the kids are all at school while yes I would love a lab I honestly think that after all you have written it would be foolish to get a big dig that's puppy like for so long just at this stage THANKYOU

sorry my post above wasnt trying to be rude . I DONT want to do the whole Backyard breeder thing i want to go through a proper breeder. Yes everyone here has said that the breed is very boisterous ( sp?) that is why im doing ALL the research about them and info and activities for them to do NOW before we go down this track I understand its of "concern" having so many young kids with plans to have more. This is why i am wanting to do the proper research before we make a purchase. I DONT want to ust jump in and then think OH %&*^ ive made a HUIGE mistake thats not what i want at all.

the house we are in the gaps between the rooms are door size as its all open so unfortunatly i dont think that the child gate idea would work. sorry I'm reading that wrong - they are door size? that's perfect for a childs gate isn't it? sorry that should be ARENT door size. its all open the rooms.
