Yeah, I love watching agility! and doing it at home with bondi (but we only have a jump, hoop and tunnel lol I built a a frame but i wont use it coz its too unstable, and I don't want to make Bon scared of a frames if it falls or something, so my aframe will find the bin haha ) I want to teach Bondi to weave, what is a good "home" weave pole? are plastic garden stakes alright? and the dog has to enter on the left doesnt it?

Yep, she has "special" training toys, which are only for training and she doesnt get to play with any other time- SHE LOVES THEM! LOL her toys get her little stump going It is an hour long, and i think it is the waiting for other people in the class to do their individual things (like stand for examination etc) that could be boring her too. I was going to give her a break, but I didn't want to because, while she is less enthusiastic about the training bit, she has been PERFECT around other dogs now and has actually started playing with them onlead! (which she never used to do) and I think if I took a break she would go back to how she used to be. She does really enjoy going to classes (and tells me when its time to go! lol she starts whining 15 mins before we go to tell me i need to get ready ) but she loses intests half way through. Maybe I should try teaching her something new at training, while we wait for the others? I like your suggestion denis. I think that will be the case with Bondi too Tollersowned. LOL But she will be an absolute shocker when we start agility classes I think she gets nervous around new things

Which vegies are the best to add to Bondi's diet (BARF) ? I have been using pumkin, carrot, broccoli and occasionally potato (just leftovers) Which veges should I use for an active adult Boxer? And is there any food I can add to make her coat darker?

Bondi is getting bored of obedience I think. some days she absolutely loves it, others she lies down to sleep She does all the excersises well (on most nights, but they still could be improved) but isn't enthusiastic anymore. I use positive reinforcement, and treat with food/toys (she likes toys more) I think she has just gotten bored with the excersises at training (I do tricks at home and she loves doing them (like spin, back, up etc) maybe because theyre fast and active??? She would absolutely LOVE agility and is very good at it, but I can't start it until next year (hopefully) because my Dad can't drive me on the day that it's held I really want to trial Bondi in agility, but since I can't do that yet I've been doing obedience, and I would love to trial her in that too, but she just isn't enjoying it as much anymore. How can I get her enthusiastic again?

Age Of Your Dog Starting Obedience?
boxagirl replied to goldieneale's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I started home training Bondi straight away, and started taking her to classes at 12 weeks (and she was the best puppy in her class IMO ) -
FHR SEE YOU THERE! IM SO GOING!

My dogs are selective like that too Barkly only likes 1 dog in our class (a hypo kelpie ) Bondi hates one Lab theree too With Bondi I have just taught her to behave around other dogs (works most of the time lol) and if there is a dog she likes she can play with it off lead.. I am yet to experience Barklys problems yet, but next month Im going to start training him so I'll have a challenge there

Bondi Is Finally Putting On Some Weight!
boxagirl replied to boxagirl's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I mix the biscuits up with tuna and fish or mince. I don't feed satin balls as a treat as I don't make em into balls, I just mix all the stuff up, put it in a container and then in the fridge and scoop out what I need. -
I have a jump made out of pipes, a A frame (dont use it not stable enough LOL I built it) made from wood, and a childrens tunnel 4 the tunnel (Bondi loves the tunnel LOL but it is a bit small so she has to duck) and I sometimes use cardboard box off cuts set up as a long jump.

Eagle food seems good, but bondi won't eat it on its own (she never ate dry food on it's own anyway) So I just have to mix it up with something :D It smells like fish food though but not as much as Iams -

She now weighs 26 KG and looks GREAT! I've also started her on Eagle Pack. I think her weight is pretty much perfect at the moment (I don't want her to get too chunky ;) ) maybe she should put on another KG or so, but I'm really happy with the condition shes in now -
Sorry didn't know if you were talking to me. If you were I do.

I will try and convince my dad to take me to the PTODC one next year, or atleast for their 8 week course, then maybe I'll move up and could go on weeknights. Cloverdale is the other good option as they are close and all. Thankyou so much everyone ;)

i have obedience on wednesdays. bondi might have abit of a growl at some of the dogs, she is usualy ok of lead though. But she will be timid and I dont want to go somewhere that will punish and turn us away if she starts growling. Her obedience is good. I am in Kalamunda (hills) anywhere around here or vic park is ok. Southern river is too far

Bondi Is Finally Putting On Some Weight!
boxagirl replied to boxagirl's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I don't think I'm giving her too much, this stuff has actually stopped the runs (she used to get PAL ) I'm not going to increase the amount shes getting, just keep it stead. Maybe also another factor of why she is putting on weight is that she is being feed twice aday -
I have been feeding Bondi satin balls for 4 days now and I can already see (and feel) a huge improvement in her weight. Her hips dont stick out as much, her spine isnt as visable (and you can only see two "links" of it) and her ribs have some fat cover and I cant see them as much! Befor she didn't have any fat cover, now I can actually feel it And its only been four days!! (however Ive just about ran out of my first bach of the stuff)

there is a great dogs beach right next to scarbouragh (sp?) I live in Kalamunda and it isnt close but isnt too far to drive to either.

Agility But He Has Agression Issues
boxagirl replied to mrose_s's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Im in WA. My obedience club (perth dog obedience) has agility (but at a different place than obedience) so I think ill go and watch a lesson, and if alls good join up. LOL i just know Bondi will do "puppy zoomines" and she will continuously charge through the tunnel (lol shes obseesed with tunnels) I think agility would improve her confidience heaps, so im going to give it a try. (plus shes super fast and agile, and i think obedience somewhat bores her) -
Agility But He Has Agression Issues
boxagirl replied to mrose_s's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I want to do agility with Bondi, she is unsure of anything new though. At the start I think she would do abit of growling, but otherwise I think she'd be ok as long as no dogs come and jump on her. And once she is over the initial meeting, she'll be great. I was just wondering are most agility clubs welcoming of aggressive/fearful dogs? Would they make extra effort/precautions to help (eg. control dogs rushing up etc)
