The Sibe in my sig is my bosses dog that I show Although we are probably getting another dog (most likely a Bullmastiff) soon, Dad has been talking about it, and he doesnt want a Boxer :D

Yeh ok, Have bad days when I miss him lots But he is definately still around... a couple of nights ago I was in bed with Bondi and I heard Bondi's bowl dragging along the ground outside. It is too heavy for a small animal to move it, and no dogs can get into our yard, so I think Barkly was paying us a visit, and attempting to clean up Bondis mess just like he used to :D
-
Its been over 2 years, but we still Miss you mate. Wish you were still here so I wouldnt have to clean up the mess Bondi makes of her dinner!

Diesel sounds exactly like Bondi. When she is put into stressful situations she just shuts down, wont take food or play or anything. She lags in heeling, and does all exercised in slow motion when she is like this. It is really frustrating because she can do all the exercises perfect, but is just too nervy to trial perhaps. I think the only way to overcome this would be to take her down to the canine assoc. LOTS and get her comfortable in that environment, although I dont think they encourage that unless you are trialing? (perth)

When Bondi was desexed they asked me if I wanted her tattooed, and I didnt, so she does not have a tattoo in her ear. I got a letter from my Vet saying that she is desexed for council registration reasons though.

No, I am rewarding. The treats are on the table at the back, so half of the time the we run over to the table and she gets a treat, and the other half of the time I carry the treat and the treat comes straight from my hand. The poor quality is really annoying me, because it is perfect quality on my camera I dont know why it came out like this.
-
Sorry about the poor pic quality, and not being able to see much when im away from the camera lol dont have a very good area to train and film in, and noone to help! But you get the idea She has improved over the last year.
-
I also have a lunging lead.. it is heavy, but not too bad
-
I used chicken necks and wings during training.. but then again it only takes Bondi 2 seconds to eat them I think this is a good way of feeding/training your dog- after all wolves would have to hunt/scavenge for food naturally- so it makes sense that a dog should work for it's meals, and it is also a good way to make you "important" to your dog.

This starts off as an obedience routine, but quickly dissintergrates into fun and games
-
She was so distracted, the training session dissolved into clownish Boxer antics

Royal canin Boxer 26 here Have tried most of those foods, Bondi wouldn't touch EP Eukanuba was brilliant - I rotate between RC and euk every 3 months or so, when Bondi gets sick of her dry.

I'm seriously interested this time. I will finally have my liscence so transport won't be an issue ;) Will try convince my sister to bring her spastic dog too Not sure what to expect- but Bondi has some fear and seperation anxiety issues (the neighbour came through the back gate today- bondi ran THROUGH the baby gate- smashing it to smitherines, to get inside, She could really hurt herself , and she can be growly with new dogs/people

This is from ages ago (last year sometime) and I've posted it before but I thought I'd add it to this thread. Bondi has been out of training for a term now (because she had Pnuemonia) and today was the first day I've done anything with her in ages- She was GREAT! the break has done her well! She was super enthusiastic, Gave me 100% eyecontact and did everything I asked of her! I was amazed! I will take a new video so I can compare it to last years one

He looks great  My Boxer is skinny too (hips and ribs visable) But vets said as long as coats nice, eyes bright and dog has energy shes fine I think it is just the build. Alot of Boxer look thin.

Sounds like what Bondi had (which wasnt CC)- which progressed to pneumonia. I'd keep a very close eye on it, and if it doesnt clear up soon go to vets.

Took Bon back to the vet this morning. Her chest is sounding abit better (still not completely better though), and her glands should go down in time. She has been prescribed another drug- Tribrissen 80, so she is now getting 11 tablets a day (2 X Bisolvon 3 times a day, 2 Tribrissen tabs once a day, and 1.5 clavulox 2 twice a day) So hopefully it clears up soon and i can cut down the bisolven to two times a day! But the vet said it could go on for up to a month Have to take Bondi back on Wednesday for a check up again -

Vets is shut, will have to call tommorrow. My sis just called and her Staffy has it too My sis can't feel the glands swollen on her dog, but doesn't remember what her dogs neck feels like normally to know if its swollen  Diva (sisters dog) is going to the vet tommorrow. Bondi and Diva saw eachother last week, so mustve given it to eachother then and the signs havent shown up until now. -

Yeah, I think I'll give the vet a call and see if I can take her back in tommorrow, or if they think I should give the tablets afew more days to kick in. She is still her bouncy usual self, except she is interupted by a heaving fit everytime she gets excited/barks/licks herself too much etc. -

Shes still just as bad, if not worse Her glands seem to be bigger, abd shes still doing the coughing/gagging thing. Her nose is still runny but clears up quite quickly when I give her the tablets, but then starts getting runny again later. I'm tempted to take her back now (been so worried about her ) but I havent given the drugs enough time to kick in yet, so i'll take her back on monday to have her chest listened to and her glands checked (I hope they've gone down by then!) -

That sounds like bondi except for the exercise part though. Took her to the Vets, her lymph nodes are swollen (causing the gasping for air thing shes been doing) and she is in the first stages of Leumonia (Phluemonia? dont know how to spell it) Her chest sounded "crackly" when the vet listened to it, so its got fluids down there. The vet said her chest sounded really bad, and that it was good that I'd caught it quick because it is quite bad. Shes on tablets to clear her chest fluids, tablets for the runy nose and eyes, and had some injections to fix the swollen "lymph nodes", but they havent gone down yet. She is going back to the vets next week for a check up. -

Doesnt sound like hypothyroidism because those dogs are overweight and sluggish arent they? I know hyperthyrodism is rare, but isnt it listed as something which affects Boxers?
