  6. I don't know if it would be soft enough or what you normally feed ( so i apologise if this is irrelevant) but if he is normally fed kibble, could you water it down and squish it to create a mush?
  7. Nawww! He looks very squish-able! What breed is he?
  8. Wow! Beautiful photos. Sounds like you had a lot of fun! *is jealous!

  10. I thought I'd posted here before... Hmmm. I must be going crazy(ier) I want to commend you on the awesome delivery time, it was sooo quick! :D my order was placed Friday 22nd June and I got it the next Tuesday. I've been trying both the Super fuel and the show stopper on my Kelpie Reggie. I haven't really noticed too much of a visible difference in his coat, as it was already lovely, but the feel of it has definitely improved. It's thicker and more plush now :D With the super fuel im not sure how much of a difference it has made, I think he would need to be working more/ harder to notice a significant difference. I'll have to Post some piccies when I find my camera >.<
  11. RIP beautiful little Bailey. My heart goes out to you, Owey, and your family. Big hugs for all
  12. Pretty sure I've read somewhere that Winn Dixie was played by two Picardy Shepherds, which are an old French herding breed...... Don't know much else about them though
  13. Sorry, I forgot to update Took him to the vet the next morning, though the swelling had gone down a bit. The vet had a good check of his eye and the surrounding tissue and couldn't find any permanent damage. No abrasions etc, just some swelling. Said he'd be fine and just keep an eye on him and make sure the swelling went down. Which it has :D It still looks a tiny bit puffy to me, but only because I'm looking for it. For the future I think either I need to improve my aim, or Reggie will need to wear safety goggles!
  14. I don't know if this is relevant, but I've taught my Kelpie to spin (both ways). This was done through luring. Could this become a problem? Should i drop this trick from his repErtoire? I have never seen him spinning without a cue or chasing his tail.
  15. I'm sure others will have first hand knowledge of making stuff, I'm not very handy I've got a book from cleanrun DIY agility equipment Otherwise I've seen instructions for making stuff online.
  16. Ok, I've just rung the vet, spoke to one of their older experienced ones, he said that the fact that it isn't bleeding, that there isn't any obvious abrasions and that the pupil isn't dilated is a good sign. If the eye was bulging, the pupil dilated, the eye bloody or very swollen, then he said to bring him straight in. He also said that some swelling is to be expected with a 'blunt force trauma' so not to be TOO worried, just to keep a close eye on him, and bring him in in the morning if it's no better. Also that an ice pack may help
  17. My poor baby! We were playing fetch with the ball thrower and I accidently hit him with the ball (a Chuckit Ultra Ball) right in the eye! He screamed when it happened and fell to the ground. Then went and got the ball *rolls eyes My first thought was that I'd ruptured his eye or fractured the socket. He recovered quickly and I've checked his eye and can't feel anything broken, though it's very tender and has now started to swell. He is keeping it shut mostly, but when he does the eye doesn't look 'right' to me (I might be a bit paranoid though) from what I can see of it, the white seems a bit more bloodshot than the other and the pupil seems very contracted, and he just shuts the eye when I shone a light in it. Apart from how it looks and that he doesn't want it touched, he is acting normally. Happy to eat, and run around while we were out. He is now curled up on the couch and doesn't seem to be in pain or distress. I feel SOOO bad And don't know what to do. Should I ring the after hours vet? Or keep an eye on him until tomorrow? Should I try an put an ice pack on it? AARRGGHHHH! I'm such a bad owner!
  18. My kelpie had a wag wear one, as he could get out most others (then eat them ) he couldn't wriggle his way out of the WW one...so he ATE his way out!
  19. Nawww Annabelle is gorgeous! Love the last photo, classic :D
  20. I seriously do not think that it is fair that he is SO cute! :D he is adorable. I am very jealous.
  21. I went to the local Petshop today With my friend to get stuff for her new budgie. And what did I see? Three sad looking SHIBA INU puppies in a cage poor babies. Definitely not a breed I was expecting to see! The Petshop wanted $495 for them and didnt seem to have a clue about their breed or any of their needs, I was told they are a smAll easygoing breed that is a good cuddly family dog and easy to train. They also wouldn't tell me were they came from (not surprising).
  22. My young Kelpie had a similar lump earlier this year. ETA : reading that again, your pups lump sounds like it might be in a different spot to mines. Not sure if your pup's is the same. Reggie's lump felt fluid filled, like a giant under skin blister. It didn't give him any pain either. The vet visit resulted in finding out (after a fine needle aspiration) that it was just a hematoma. It went down after a couple of weeks. I would still suggest a vet visit just to make sure that it isn't anything more serious. :) Reggie's lump
