They could come into my boy's yard without our permission if they wanted to, but i think they would be leaving pretty quickly lol Honestly tho on a side note, the number of ppl selling things door to door that just walk into our yard despite the sign on the gate warning them that my sheppy lives here and looks after the house is just insane! We keep him around the back of the yard unless we are out there with him for this very reason. One day i even asked this clown if he had read the sign and what the hell he thought he was doing just walking in anyway! I told him i wasn't interested in what he was selling and shut the door on him lol

I got what you were trying to say and agreed I thought this was Australia! The idea that one day some hoity toity council officer can come to my door and take my baby away from me just disgusts me! It will happen over my dead body too

Surely These Dogs Deserve Death......
german_shep_fan replied to Robbi's topic in General Dog Discussion
Too bloody true Robbi!! Makes my blood boil to see ppl with other large or small breeds in favour of the pit ban and want rottis and sheps ect to go. I feel like shoving this poem in their face and say look! This is what will happen one day, and if you dont help us now don't expect us to be there for you! I have something worded very similar on my facebook page as a motion grapic if you would like it -
Proposed Dog Cull In A Chinese City Due To Rabies .
german_shep_fan replied to persephone's topic in In The News
China as a country in general have never had much respect for animals (Im not saying they are all like that, of course many there love and respect animals) But the gov doesnt seem to care if they suffer or die in the millions every yr. I would hate to be a pet owner in China, everyday would be a worry. I have never felt as sick as i did when i came across a dog and cat furfarm site showing them skinning my beloved gsds alive for their fur and drowning cats by shoving hoses down their throats! Gsd With Diaherra
german_shep_fan replied to german_shep_fan's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Thanks very much Tilly I hadn't thought of giving him something like Inner Health Plus. I didnt know u could give them to dogs lol yeah it hurts so much to know that he misses her as much as i do. Yeah his routine hasn't changed at all, its just my Tara girl isn't with us anymore They did most things together so it feels so empty without her. He goes to the dog park every arvo that i am home as he has lots of mates there, so that is good interaction for him at least I live in Brisbane. I see from your pic that you have a working line sheppy? Beautiful. Our shep is/ and have been the "old style" sheps -

Thank you very much for the advice -
Agreed, ppl need to accept that you can't just judge a whole breed, any breed by the actions of a few! I would like yahoo to print this too, i am boycotting their site since they posted their "should rotties be outlawed in oz" crap

german_shep_fan replied to TrinaJ's topic in In The News
Have voted NO many times and will continue to do so! Rotties are a fav breed of mine and it makes me sick that the do gooders could ever take away such beautiful breeds as the Rottie! -
Hello everyone This is my first post here so i am a bit nervous. I hope i have posted this in the right section. I have a 6yr old male GSD who has had diaherra on and off since my 12 yr old sheppy died 7wks ago. Vet said at first IBS as this is apparently common in shepherds. We have done the bland chicken and rice diet for over a month on and off and he has had 3 lots of tablets. He is now just on a chicken diet and has been for the past 3 wks. Some days he is fine and goes to the toilet normally and other days he is not good at all. I had the vet back again today and he and I both agreed that stress is probably playing a big part. He has had IBS before but it has always cleared up after one round of tablets. The vet is ordering me in some Hills ZD and we are going to try him on that for a while and see if we can settle him down a bit. We have been taking him out for walks 3 times a day since i lost my precious old girl but i can see he is still fretting. Just wondering if anyone has had anything that has worked in the past for a fretting dog? I know it seems a stupid question but i am with him most days (doing night classes during the wk)and we shower him with affection ect (always have) but it hurts so much to see him so miserable. He goes to the dog park and sees his pals almost every day. So not sure what else to do. Basically just wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Thank you very much
