When animals and people age there can be a change in body odour;this can be a normal part of ageing. If you are worried take you dog for a vet check up . My MIL's dog is over 15 now and has health issues due to age that are being managed by the vet A few times over the last 2 years we thought she was in her last days but then she would bounce back..She is still happy and has her playful times. All you can do with older dogs is have more regular check ups and see they are comfortable and enjoy the time you have with them.

Oh no ,I came to read expecting some progress........Little Cookie play in heaven ,no pain now just joy . . I would put her story in the local paper;Someone may know or suspect who did this and come forward or at least make the monster who did this squirm. Report this to Police too.

Need Advice About Potentially Giving A Home To A Rescue
Purdie replied to Isabel964's topic in General Dog Discussion
In this situation i would say not a good idea at all.The dog is not interested in people. My guess would be he would try to escape again by digging or jumping the fence. This person needs a calm steady dog they can form a bond with quickly and has had some basic training.I agree with one from foster care where the temperament is known. An older 3 years + Labradore or Golden retriever ;They will bark at the gate and are big enough to deter strangers. -

Need Some Advice With My Rescue Dog
Purdie replied to knitmehappy's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Sorry to hear Buddy is not well.I hope you can find what is upsetting his tummy.Maybe ask in the health forum they might have some advise to help. Sending hugs and pats to Buddy. -
Nice idea, but would get mighty hard and laborious to follow once the thread has a number of "wotami's" on the go at the one time. Maybe a new sub-forum then? no, this is a purebred dog site. Yes it is,But i can also go to the news forum and read about a horse swimming in the ocean or go off topic and read about cats and goldfish. The M&M thread is hard to find for ppl new to the forum.I think the what breed threads will continue to pop up so an M&M area that is easier to find may be the go. Has anyone asked Troy about it.

There is an M&M's thread in sub forums but it can be hard to find for newcomers.;perhaps if there was a more prominant link to it from the home bage if thats the correct term. Then these what breed threads could be part of that thread or in the rescue forum.I don't see the harm in these threads however i understand some would like to keep the emphasis more on the Pure Breed discussion.

I was thinking maybe a pinch of Greyhound too.I once met a Greyhound x Labradore at a park who looked very similar. He's a handsome fellow . -
Good news; Seems she was found just in time.

May i ask ,in regard to prey drive, would this vary much between individuals. Can you get an idea of the level of prey drive in a young pup.? How are Whippets with young children around 5 years old ;would they chase and play nip them.?;Can they be easily trained not to do this.? Would a Whippet be similar in activity level or require similar exercise as for example an Irish Terrier...Thankyou.

You may find this cross in rescues and shelters; ,Or you could take her to see some Portuguese Water Dogs. Then she could be like President Obama.
