  1. if you insinuate in a any way that they are not caring for their dog it is just going to annoy & offend them. Obviously they think this is an ok way to keep a dog. No way should you pay them to let their dog come over to you. I doubt they would bother getting another dog & would still offer them $50 to sell & say you all love her. Sounds like they're not that bothered anyway. I'm not talking about insinuating ;just tell them strait out in a friendly way that the dog needs more attention and a warm bed and that's why he is heading next door to get it.The dog belongs to them and it is up to them to look after him and not have him dig out and escape. The more you help out the less they will do for the dog.
  2. Just tell them what you have told us ;that the dog is unhappy and why. Then ask if they will sell the dog to you. They can only say yes or no.They could be unaware that the dog needs more attention and think the dog is doing fine. If you tell them strait out what care the dog needs then they may try to do better by him.
  3. If you like the poodle look but do not want a lot of clipping grooming, take a look at the Curly Coated Retriever. They do have a coat drop once or twice a year but the rest of the time very little shedding...They would tick a lot of the boxes for you i believe. What ever breed you go with find a breeder who will match you with the the most suitable pup .
  4. With Anxiety disorders; i have one,you do not want a dog that is always on the go and in your face demanding attention. This may worsen the Anxiety. Go for a breed that is calm and friendly, comes for a pat when you want then can relax nearby keeping you company but not following you around every minute.
  5. Take a look at the Curly coated Retriever...
  6. They may have intended to pay the balance but are now unable to get the $ 500 together . Ask them to pay an amount each week until it is paid off.If they will not agree to do that then i doubt you will see the rest of the money. As you now know;never hand over a pup until you have full payment.
  7. Do you mean the Dobermann or the free lost mixed breed pup .Both could end up in good or bad hands..
  8. Yes another dog looking for a new home. Maybe he will be desexed and find a good home... Of more interest to me ..... If you scroll down you will see a ''Free pup;just found yesterday on the highway''.....What the ? what if the owners are out looking for their lost pup.. EFS
  9. I bet all the Professional treasure hunters would be a bit put out.. Can't think of the name of that American show where the guy digs up properties to find old valuables for a living...
  10. What a frightening thing to happen.I hope you both make a full recovery .I hope this person can be found. I would contact your local paper and ask them to tell what happened with pictures of the injuries and description of the man and dogs. Someone may know him and come forward.Hugs to you and your little one....

  15. When i picture dogs at the beach i envisage medium / large size breeds frolicking in the water. How do small breeds; Short legged; and Giant breeds go at the beach.? Do they also swim or just like to dip a paw in the water.? Would little breeds be safe in the water if they where knocked over by a wave ? Can short legged breeds swim well. Oh and would love to see pic's of your dogs at the beach .....Cheers

  17. I have met a couple of lovely laid back Dalmatians and my In laws had Australian Terriers over many years and they were all very chilled out too. A Toller would enjoy trips to the beach every day; then so would most dogs.
  18. A NSD Toller... or an....Australian Terrier ...... Miniature Bull Terrier

  20. Amax-1...Every dog regardless of how ''stable''a temperament an owner thinks they have is capable of biting. If you believe otherwise then with respect you need to do some serious research into dog behaviour ..
  21. Good grief;...I agree with Ams .......Get the dog to competent Vet...
