Very cute, I've been trying to have the video camera ready for when my pup abbey does zoomies
-
I used them a couple of times, found them to be quite expensive though, especially postage and handling. I use pet treats direct they are a couple that run it from Bathurst NSW and are lovely to deal with.

Stop Barking Collars - Are They Safe To Use On Pups?
Tara8430 replied to Tara8430's topic in Puppy Chat
Basically i get her meal ready and say down to your yard and she sits and waits perfectly. At this stage i have been aiming for 1/2 hour after every meal. I started with 5 mins went to 10 mins and had been gradually increasing, making sure to get her out before she started barking. Go down, telling to sit while i open the gate which she does, i clip the gate open and she stays sitting, praise her and give her a treat and then say come. This was working fine, the only thing is that she wouldnt relax into the kennel onto her bed and rest. The only thing which has changed is that there was a small fence in the yard made from woodern trellis that was fencing off a small garden bed ( my last lab used the yard with the garden bed in it, she was older and never touched it) anyways Abbey found this a place to sit while she was down there, it was only about 40cm wide obviously as she is growing and applying more pressure to the woodern trellis it has come down and is now not in a condition to put back up. So in a way her safety spot has been removed i think this has caused the barking. I have since moved the kennel to try and encourage her into that into that spot added her kong with stuffing but she doesnt seem to want a bar of it. Now im not sure what else to do. I was going to try and get a pvc pipe that would act like a tunnel for her to go into but not sure where i could get one. -
Stop Barking Collars - Are They Safe To Use On Pups?

Yep it is, not sure whats happened Buddy1, she was doing very well. Yes she is doing it when i am at home however i wanted to be able to let her have the morning in there when i am at work. I dont want to have to resort to a bark collar on her but not sure what else i should do at this stage.... Also dont want to annoy the neighbours too much, one isnt the nicest. -

Just wondering if you guys know if stop barking collars (either citronella or electric pulse) are safe to use on puppies older than 3 months?

She's been very good with other dogs, loves my aunts dog, and has been playing with another two dogs, and very good at the vet surrounded by other dogs.

Hi all, quick question.... Have just started walking my new pup which was going well however the other evening when we wet for a walk the block which we had already walked a couple of times there were a couple of new dogs, ones which were there when I used to walk my last girl but she was never bothered. Anyway they were behind gates so she could see them but they just kept barking at her, she froze the hair from the back of her neck right to her tail stood up and tail went between the legs, even with the treat pouch as encouragement I couldn't get her to move, had to end up picking her up which I didn't want to have to do and walk a couple of houses up. Okay so the question is, what would you do? We went back down the street lasts night and even though the dogs weren't there she was still hesidant.

Would black hawk be okay for puppies? I also would need to find out about getting it to orange.

RIP Maggie you georgous girl D - I'm so sorry for your loss, I also lost my lab this year so I feel your pain. She was a very georgous girl in those pictures.

My pup was having similar issues, I would wake up and in the glass room off my bedroom would be nice big pile Great to clean up during the night. She had a bladder infection which I actually think was developing when I brought her home, once I took her to the vet and got onto that the wee & poop problem seemed to fix itself. She goes out before bed at 9, I wake up and take her out at 2am and again at 7am and that seems to be working well now (12 weeks). It's not easy I nearly cracked at 10 1/2 weeks but I'm definitely glad were in a bit of a routine now. Accidentally can still sometimes happenif I'm not paying attention but that's my fault. Hope for the best for you, oh and what kind of pup did you get

Missing my girl heaps tonight then clicked on this, tears come naturally

Maybe the grass in your yard is causing a slight irritation, abbey has been a bit that way cause it's been long and often wet. She's been chewing her back feet but mainly when she comes in from out in the yard.
-
Ive only just started giving Abbey pig's ears and she is 11 weeks tomorrow, i had given her rawhide schmakos strips but she just licked off the flavour and then couldnt chew them much, i gave her one after being home a few nights but her teeth wernt up for it yet. She loves the pigs ears, there not too messy only a bit of slobber
