Yeah that is good about Jerry and his itchiness. My pups a bit of a scratchy dog as well, her skin is a bit dry actually. She's on proplan pup large breed at the moment I think I'll either change her to sensitive skin proplan or one of these wellness fish based ones. She likes the small wellness cans I think I'll try a stew for her. She's 12 months end if September so I'll give one of these kibbles a go then I think.

Has anyone else tried the Wellness kibbles and have feedback?

Good to know i saw them on the Kong US website but on the australian importers website they arnt on their. My girl loves Kong products ive got a tugga wubba coming for her tomorrow cause the last balistic friend hippo fell to pieces straigh away it was really poorly made compared to our original.

What did your dogs think of them? Are they bult a bit tougher than a normal plush dog toy?

My pups also had a few months back, tablets plus liquid to stop the runs ( I had no vomiting with my pup) and kill off infection she was right in I would say 3 - 4 weeks, runs eased after 4 days on meds. I believe it came from our tank water also, she now only has town water and she is much better.

Not sure sorry but I have my aunts lab going in for surgery on her cruciate at the end I the month, she is nearly 5. I would say make sure the vet who is suggesting it might be cruciate does all the tests X-ray etc to determine before rulling out other possibilities.

Gus is a pup hay? My 10 month old pup has had a few bites from something only on her head which naturally she is sticking her head in anything and everything, I still don't know what's doing it to her but it's not flea bits cause it's only on her head in one or two spots. Might just be whatever he is into during the day.

My pup harvests her own carrots from my vege patch I would prefer I got to use them myself but atleast it's a healthy treat, she just can't get enough carrots.

What does blow coat mean? How long can you not take them out for, like for walks, is it just the one week of concern? Someone said to me that there cycle can be the same as their mothers, would it be worth finding out what the mothers cycle is? On one hand i dont want it to happen yet but on the other hand id like to take her to the beach in Spring but for sure if i book something and lock in a week that would be when it will happen.

I have a question while were on the topic, my girl is 10 months and still no sign of her first heat cycle, should it happen by 12 months and what should i look out for as first signs.

..then they are not big enough :) You may also want to try freezing them. They were frozen, my ol girl just new to chew them guess I was expecting my pup to know to do the same. Bigger beef shin bones might be the way with her I think.
-
My last lab wouldn't really touch her bones until they had been buried for atleast a day, we used to say she was giving them "flavor" She would want us to hose it off first the it way good to go haha she was my ol iron gut My new pup on the other hand ive tried with meat flaps and lamb riblets etc she either swallows them whole Which worries me or brings them back up later. She's now 9 months and only seems to understand chomping up chicken frames. Not sure I I should persist and just get bigger beef bones for her to chomp on and let her gut adjust. Pigs trotter yesterday made her tummy cranky, do their tummy's eventually adjust if you just keep persisting with the food?

Hmmm interesting, I asked about the kibble purely cause my pup had a reaction to it itching and biting all along her sides, the vet didnt think it was food allergy and gave antihistamine but they had not affect I had to end up changing vets and taking her completely off BH. Sine I havent given any lamb based foods and she is soooo much better. Apparently some food allergys can take awhile to come to surface, it took me halfway through a 20kg bag to realise how it was affecting her, the vet said kibble is like vitamines for us they take 6-8 weeks to fully get into their system so if there has been a change it might take that long for you to see it in your pup. Has your pup had pumpkin much in the past.
-
What kibble are you feeding?
-
Did it say when the chicken and rice would be available, I'm sure (or atleast hoping) that is was just the fact that it was lamb based that my girl couldn't handle it.
