  1. Border Terrier: Their wire fur. If you don't roll their coat to keep it short it gets quite long and scruffy. You can brush it and two seconds later they look scruffy and unbrushed again. When I stroke my Frenchis fur its sooo smooth and soft and then I stroke Poppy's fur and its like stroking the head of a broom! In saying that she looks extra cute at her fluffiest so its a catch 22 lol.
  2. Dons teefs look pretty perfect in that grin!
  3. Is your refresh rate slow at times? I've had double posts if my post button has remained on the screen making me think I hadn't pressed it properly. I press it again then boom, double post.
  4. They're so wobbly it looks like they're trying to stay upright in an earthquake lol

    Gussy

What lovely words to show the love you had for Gussy, I'm so sorry he's gone from your life. It sounds like you were lucky to find each other.
  6. Kids are unpredictable, what if a child made it in to the yard. I wonder if they would have made it out again? Is seems an extreme reaction for a dog to maul a tiny hand so much it had to be removed!
  7. Look at all your perfect well behaved dogs!
  8. She's gorgeous! Love the photo of them all sitting on the Park bench.
  9. You poor thing what an incredibly stressful situation. I hope your babies will be ok and your quick action will be enough for Pudding to pull through.
  10. Maybe you could try some stock and kibble inside then freeze it to last bit longer?
  11. Thanks for the photos, is lovely seeing them grow! I'm not surprised after probably heaving one of those plump bubbas onto the bed, the next one was placed on the floor lol.
  12. Is she freaked out or excited by what's going on around her? Can you take her back another day but work out how far away from the action you need to be to get her attention back on you? That will give you an idea where to begin to slowly make your way closer. Each time you lose her you know you've pushed it too far. Is she the same when you're out and about with less action going on?
  13. Such a little cutie and you take a great photo!
  14. It probably seems like an overwhelming task at the moment and all I can suggest is where I'd start if it was me. I would be getting one on one help from a trainer (I'm still learning too) and going back to basics with everything, especially on lead expectations. Slow, steady and positive work on where she is expected to be beside you, ie heel position. I wouldn't be letting her self reward with things she likes more than you but maybe you could use them as brief rewards when you have more control back? If she missed basic behavioural training as a puppy I would start from scratch with everything! Good luck with her :)
  15. OMG how on earth did they all fit in there? Congratulations, I hope you can get some sleep one day lol
  16. I love him, he's so gorgeous! Do you mind sharing his breeder, I'd love to look through their dogs? Pm if you prefer :)
  17. My dog was spayed recently (at 10 months) so this is my experience. The first night she was really groggy which made it worse with bumping in to things with the cone on. She ate a little but wasn't interested in drinking for at least 24 hours. I had her beside my bed for the first few nights so I could hear if she was moving around or upset. I also paid for extra pain killers as there was nothing extra provided. The following day she had really perked up and as I was on annual leave (to keep an eye on her) I took the cone off unless I wasn't there. Due to the stitches being mid belly she couldn't reach them but was licking at areas where she had been shaved. If I said uhuh she did stop which was good. I also kept an eye on our other dog to make sure she wasn't licking at the wound (which she didn't). Once she started feeling better I struggled to keep her quiet! She was inside for the first week unless I had her on lead to toilet and she was definitely stir crazy. I had the cone off after the first two days and she was fine from then on. The second week I let her come and go from the house but only to an outdoor area to toilet and sit in the sun etc. Once the stiches came out at 10 days the Vet said it was fine to work her up to normal exercise and she's been great every since. Good luck with your girl :)
  18. Added. I agree, great idea!
  19. Is she still in a crate at home (not just in the car)? Can you play some fun crate games with her to change the association?
  20. If you're going to have a play session you can keep something handy (like a tug or soft toy) to shove in their gob when they want to bite. It's then handy to pay tug or chase me where the reward is the item not your hand.
  21. Good on you! You must be on such a high after a great run. Hopefully there's lots more for you both :)
