  2. I have noticed a few recommendations on DOL today for the K9pro Loose leash distance course. Has anyone done it, and was it successful? And if you know of the course, is a prong collar used for all cases? I noticed on a review (on K9pro site) that a prong collar was used. Thanks in advance

  10. Thanks for the replies and great advice I went on a shopping spree this morning and got a 600D with twin lens kit - mem card, extra battery, bag, filter thingos ect. Have my eye on a few lenses I would love - but need to work out how to use the camera first. Thanks again
  11. Thanks for the reply Shell See, this is where I get confused - not sure whether its a better plan spending the $$ on a great model body, then slowly build up a supply of lenses - or whether say to go for the 600D with the twin lense kit (they were around the $1000 mark at that store) and buy anther useful lense as well.
  12. I would love any advice/opinions on getting a DSLR (my first!) - Im looking mostly at canon, but have heard nikon are great too Im getting very confused very quickly though lol!! If you had up to $1400 and wanted to photograph your kids, dogs ect in still and in action - what would be your camera choice (including lenses ect). Cheers :D
  13. Thankyou for the info skip :D Sounds like Dapto will be the way to go! Off to search for info on the Mon night Wgong one - didnt realise there was one in there too
  14. Just wondering if anyone knows of some bush walking trails (or even good quiet paddock areas) that are dog friendly in the Illawarra/Wollongong area? Would like to try something different than the dog beach all the time
  15. skip - Hi Noticed you said you are from the gong - can I ask do you do agility at Dapto (showground)? If so - is it good there? My guy is to young to start agility - he is in an advance puppy class for the next 5 weeks then I want to start him at Dapto for obedience, then agility there when he gets older. Would love to know if its good there or if there is somewhere better in the gong area?
  16. He is asking to have his face bitten off!
  17. Thanks for the replies everyone (and links)!! fuzzy82 - I guess the bedroom one (which his bed will fit in perfectly by chance ) may or may not be needed - but I think it will be great to have a lighter portable one as well as the wire one in the lounge room.
  18. Thanks BC Crazy - think I answered my own question a bit lol - portable one is the way to go for the 2nd one I think - he is not a chewer (usually) so think he will be ok
  19. I have decided that at 19 weeks old I will crate train my boy!! I have just ordered 1 wire crate off ebay for the lounge room but have realised I will need one for the room too? He usually sleeps on our BR floor on his dogbed. Im wondering whether to get a soft crate so I have a portable one as well as the wire one - or just get two wire??? Would love some advice
