We had a Frenchie on our puppy class Smash, and boy was he a handful ????. All he wanted to do was play play play but OMG was he cute ????. We had a huuge very dominant GSD who was a bit of a bully but Henry the Frenchie had no issues putting him in his place, and he only came up to his ankles! -

Yes I used normal disinfectant for the initial clean up and then I went over everything with vinegar to neutralise any left over odour. -

Flynn gave me a lovely wake up call at 3am this morning. I woke to the sound of explosive diarrhoea. He was in his crate and it ended up all over his bed, on the crate bars and a little on the wall. There I was with gloves on, disinfecting everything whilst gagging the whole time My OH slept through the whole thing! How I will never know as Flynn sleeps in our room Puppies....gotta love them :) -
Could you have him onlead when he is awake? That way he can't wander off and piddle somewhere. This really worked with Flynn, and you have the added bonus that he can't chew anything! I probably had him onlead for the first month, I think he only had 2 accidents in the house and they were my fault.

Oooh another Toller! Scout is gorgeous. -
All of the above + 1. I have a chewer too. Flynn is never out of my sight when he is indoors. I don't trust that he won't chew anything he could get his little teeth on. If I can't supervise him I will pop him in his crate with a roo tail to keep him occupied. He has his box of stuff that he has free access too. I keep it stocked up with bully sticks, chew toys, balls, toilet rolls, venison ears and his stuffed toys. It works great as he will happily go to his box and pick out what he wants. If he gets hold of something I dont want him to have a simple 'leave' command will get him to drop the offending item and I will redirect him to an allowable toy. Now I just need to teach him to clean up after himself!

Melina how is Louis going? Is he feeling any better? You must miss the little guy! -
I think a good behaviorist is in order. You have a big girl hitting adolescence which can be a testing time as it is. When you add the nipping, jumping and anxiety into the mix it's time to take decisive steps to help you and your girl. I am on my phone so I can't see where you are located by I am sure others will be happy to pass on references. Good luck and please let us know who you get along.

Is it a tablet Smashtank or a edible worming treat? If it's a tablet I would just pop open his mouth, push it to the back of his throat, close his mouth and rub his throat to encourage him to swallow. This is the way I do it with my dogs, no fuss and it's over in 5 seconds. I give them a real high value treat afterwards so they associate worming with positive things. Good luck! -

Are you positive he hadn't done a wee that you may have missed Melina? Yorkie wee's are tiny ????. Maybe in his crate and you haven't noticed? It is a long time in between wee's but if he is active and happy don't stress too much, particularly and it's not hot at the moment. If you are concerned you can always syringe some water into his mouth. I love these puppy updates. Keep them coming! -

Sounds like your off to a great start . Flynn was the same on day one and he never changed. He loves his crate and will happily put himself in there for quiet time. I love crate training, I wish I did it will my previous dogs actually. In regards to throwing food away if they don't eat it straight away I must say that I don't. Flynn is on a raw diet and if he doesn't eat it all in one go after 10 minutes I pick it up, put it in a container and pop it back in the fridge to offer it to him for his next meal. I don't remember the last time he didn't eat it all in one go though :D. When I first got Flynn he was a little fussy so I tried warming it up, trying lots of different foods, I even resorted to trying to encourage him to eat by hand feeding him for a couple of days! After a few days of this I decided I wasn't doing him or myself any favours so a little tough love was in order. I put his food down, gave him 10 minutes and then put it away. Honestly it took him 2 days and he licked the plate clean after every meal and at 5 months he will eat whatever is offered. By the way how cute is Tank?! He has the most kissable little face! -

That's funny moose ????. Flynn used to be the same. I then worked out that his tail straightens out a little when he is going so that's his 'I'm going' signal! -
