I have bought some comfortis for saxon as sentinal doesnt seem to be working.. tho i will continue to give him the tablets for the worms as they have the heartworm included. I bought the 27.1 - 54kg as they come in 6 tablet form and it will then continue for the months later. I took him to the vet for a weight check and he came in at 23.9 which i thought is great as he is 5 months old on 21st june. I explained to the lady at the desk, that i had just bought comfortis and told her the size that it said 27.1- 54 kg. She said that it would be ok to give him the comfortis as long as you give it him with with a full meal..which is fair enough. Does this sound a little wierd or would it be ok to give him the tablet....

hi Ptolomy thanks for the vote of confidence :D Footwork was great both the judges commented it was the best they have seen for a long time Both judges also commented if they were a dog they wouldn't want to sit or drop in wet slushy ground either My boy is a Whippet, both judges we had yesterday also did give us praise for attending & persavering & not pulling out , not like a number of competiters did We are proud of our achievement :D Sorry no video my apologies Murve! that was very rude of me not to congratulate you on your work and your dog in the trials...too worried about me not going seems you are doing really well congrats mate please accept my apology.. aaah dont worry about it :D :D apology accepted :D :D I am also training up a 9 month old Papillon, I have found him to be my trigger to get Orlando to work  im sure you will train him very well:) your dogs are in good hands

Thats good for a 20 week old, with sit stay, get him to sit, tell him to stay, them just stand right in front of his nose, stay there for a couple of sec's & then return to his right side, keep this up, as time goes by start taking a step or 2 backwards away from the dog both of you will start building conferdence & he will soon get the picture give him a treat & lots of praise when you practice at home :D :D yep that is what they do at training... :)this morning i stood in front of him and put my hand up and say .. stay.. move back 1 step then say come...then sit then i give a treat...but he gets up when i take a step! lol it could be confusing with the stay that i give and the one they tell you at training. but thanks for your help murve.. youve been a great inspiration on what you can do

hahaha yeh i know! lol not alowed gum boots have to be training shoes or workboots! hehe aalso they train without treats. I did a bit of training with him this morning..with treats ... he is finding the stay word hard, but sits from a laydown position, down, and come

hi murve, thankyou for your reply... yeh i was going to ring them but then i sort of chickened out lol as i felt bad. Saxon doesnt mind the rain he plays in water alot with the hose etc, so it wouldnt of bothered him as much as me...lol .. But yes i will ring them and ask if it was still on, the grounds would of been too wet as the first lesson the council wouldnt let us train the dogs there on the field as it was too wet and that was with not as much rain as we have been having here at the moment. thanks again mate

What do you guys think about training clubs... it is a good idea or is it best to keep the dog at home and you train yourself on what you would like your dog to do... We dont want to show , or go on trials with sax tho we may stud him. We love him as family companion but also do what we want him to do...
