they are quite big, and there was a lot of fluid, They think it was just stretched a little to much to actually start the proper contrations, she dilated fine then just stalled. 18 hours in stage one had a breeder friend give me some advice. It was always going to be a c section if nothing happened by 10 pm but i am an impatient person and at 4:30 pm before the vet shut i wanted to know that the pups reflected how my girl was feeling who was a little tired but very happy. Turns out that we counted 3 heart beats at 160 bpm, a little low for their liking. but said it was up to me wait and see or go in now. Made me nervous so I rang my breeder friend with a lot more experience to ask what she'd do, who said the same thing we could wait and see as it wasn't too bad but if it was her girl she just does the op and gets everyone out safe. So I went with her experience and just got them out. Turns out it was for the best. Vet did say she was in good condition inside and should be no reason to go again with her in the future if we wanted to, and good possibility of natural whelp too. Which is good, as for going again that is a thing for 2015 no puppies next year as we hope to have a girl from this litter to go with the girl from last. Good chances with 6 too

My Oh has done the exact same thing, We had freinds over and it's apparently, the thing to do instead of going inside is go behind the water tanks (live on acreage). And Ruby as a young girl followed him everywhere and yep a nice little archway to walk though and see what he is doing . Her reaction was hilarious, he had to practically lay on the ground calling puppy baby to get her to clean her off, she was quite disgusted by the whole thing and doesn't follow him so closely anymore and always stands 2 steps back unless he calls her up. Don't think it made him the dominate one but more the stupid one in here eyes even though it wasn't exactly his fault.

Nope and she is getting bigger Keeping an eye out for any distress, But she still happy as reasonably possible and affectionate. Last 2 night been less restless and more sleepy.

Unsure last litter was 8 but the boy was slightly smaller, and she is bigger this time. Going to go with magic figure of 8 hoping for her sake.

yep we are at 1 week to go now, tho i also don't think we will make it to next Monday, and she hopes not too

Great now I am super clucky, I surely don't think I'm getting that many probably thankfully we've done a back to back last was her first and she was huge and a litter of 8, any more she would have slpit in half i am positive of it and it was tight and firm, this time she seems close to as big but not very firm, Not sure if that is due to the last being her first and now she is stretchy or we just don't have as many. But your little guys are adorable, was there any intent to keep any this run? pic 1 last litter , pic 2 this litter

Tell me about it, So excited, Tomorrow I am going to pick up a boy I sold from last litter, His owner loves him to pieces but his owner works and he hasn't quite bonded with the wife. Long story short he is coming home until we can find a more suitable family. So excite to see him again to I'm gonna be emotionally warn out within the next fortnight.

It is only a Cheek Swab!! Your vet may not have the testing kits.....have ASAP send you some Wishing you favourable results lol I know it's a cheek swab but we have recently had 7 prog tests and she now gets nervous pulling up at the vet twice they took a couple of goes at finding the vain, we have forgone any confirmation exams to limit her stress. Once she has whelped cause she is going to have another textbook whelp there will be quite a few vet visits within the first few months social and otherwise and none will be for needles to help relax her again.

Awesome, I wish to test my adult 2 for now and will get the younger 2 done early next year, Thing is ruby is heavily preg and I don't want to stress her until after she has had her litter. But was hoping for the results prior to puppies leaving. Tests aren't required for my breed just some added genetic security for myself and the puppy owners. And it would be done at the post whelp check at the vet the other dog can just tag along
