I second that... I think you need to be VERY aware of these issues when you are talking a breed like this.
-
Out of curiosity Akayla do you have a wolfdog already/previously? ..Are you Ligerwolve from the Wolfdog forum? :)
-
I hope that somebody responsible winds up with these dogs. But then... I hope that for all dogs. *sigh*

 Yes, if everytime a bloke went through the checkout with a pack of condoms, the operator said "oh condoms, are you interested in having sex with me?"

AHAHA Way to go! I hope she was fired for her dishonesty. She was not only stealing off of you, but she wasn't even putting it in her till for her company, don't get me wrong, NETHER of those situations is a good thing. I trust you got your money back in the end? But then, as a personal thing I find it rude when somebody is on the phone when they approach my register at work. I feel anybody on the phone ought to step out of the queue :) Still, when people hand me too much money - and last week I had two people who did so, one $50 note and one $2 extra - I give it back to them. My personal feelings on how they are acting towards me do no matter.

LOL tell me about it! I have one each for Zeke & Maya, one I put the Guinea's hay in, a battered, lidless one I use for a rubbish bin...
-
Check places in your area that sell Proplan at the moment, the company is doing the promo giveaway, buy a big bag you get a metal airtight storage bin. (Cannot tell you if this is every single pet store of course or just selected, where I work we got around 100 storage bins to giveaway with feed bins ) I have been using the PP tins for ages and they are awesome. The Rubbermaid storage containers brought up earlier can be good but they are not always airtight I find. The lid where it lifts up does have a great rubber seal, but not so where the top clips on to the body, and they're awful if they get the tiniest bent out of shape.

Because when I pay for my groceries, I don't want a free serve of bullshit. Sabbath I think you're seeing the wrong point. Kirislin and many of the people here, myself included, may have a personal issue with her BYB attitude, but it wasn't that which was reported (As has been said why would her management care about her motivation for breeding dogs) - it was the fact that she was trying to sell a passing customer something for personal profit. Personally I wouldn't be impressed at being offered a puppy in a supermarket checkout no matter how it was bred and I would likely report myself. The only way mistakes can be fixed is to address them, not ignore them.

Well I stand corrected in the light of Espinay's digging, nice work mate! Maybe I'm getting too cynical in my old age LOL http://www.wolfdog.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15751 - Quote from the thread linked above. Now I'm insanely curious to know exactly what percentage of Carpathian Wolf is in the breed - is it a situation like with Bengal cats? Despite being originally crossed with Asian Leopard Cats most today and particularly all those in Australia have less than 1% ALC blood. I can't seem to find any info on what percentage wild blood the average CzW has.

What a wonderful looking boy! Such a striking breed. Hope he finds his forever home... going to stop looking at his pretty pictures and being tempted now! -
Unless somebody can confirm for me they have met the breeders/dogs I'd steer clear of this as a scam.

Qld Police Shoot Dead Two Violent Dogs
Chris the Rebel Wolf replied to Maxiewolf's topic in In The News
We can only speculate, as with most news, we are rarely told the full story. Personally, I would suspect that Jack may have had a medical problem as discussed page 2, such as a potential brain tumour. But it could also have been a poorly trained dog with few boundaries. To me the fact that Rosie was also shot although not involved in the attack, suggests that she too may have been behaving in a threatening manner to her owner. But on the other hand she also could have been jumping/barking and showing distress due to the attack by Jack, and the police officer had to act to protect the owner. I too, would have gotten an autopsy done. -
Those photos break my heart. What a whole lot of unnecessary stress on the boy boy's system

Adults need to understand this as much as children if not moreso. Why are schools having to teach these things? Why aren't parents doing it themselves? Ignorance is bliss as they say...

Pet Vet Bills Give Paws For Thought
Chris the Rebel Wolf replied to samoyedman's topic in In The News
I am a 'put money aside' as opposed to a insurance person. I could just be cynical but the way I look at it is that insurance is just another business, if the majority of people were better off (saving more than they paid) then the insurance companies would not be there at all. That's not to say that some people have and do benefit greatly from pet insurance. Out of personal interest I'd love to know the stats on how much money the majority of people with pet insurance are making. I tend to think if my budget were not quite so rigid and I had more "throw away" money I wouldn't think twice about $60 a month on pet insurance. But maybe that's easy to say from the outside :p -
Awesome recall skills... until the stop

Been taking a LOT of photos with the new camera - even more than usual, I rarely go anywhere without it! Maya, naturally, is the star  Maya playing in her wading pool - yes, she still fits! The beach was BEAUTIFUL tonight! And the river on Friday was just right for swimming! Size comparison! I don't usually edit photos but I wanted a bit of a fantasy touch for this one to go with the quote, and this was the result :)

Your family is beautiful, and you should be so proud of your furkids! Need more ferret photos, I am ferret deprived living in Qld! And the new puppy, soooo beautiful! Cloud is the most stunning Ragdoll ever! Lilac point right? Never seen a white marked one with such perfect white tips to her ears :D I do agree though Meowington isn't a pure Bengal, and I hope you weren't charged megabucks, buy him to breed/show with. You are right, you can get Bengals in black, they're actually not too uncommon since the common form of the breed a modified version of brown tabby, and they can carry solid black easily. No, the fact he is longhair is a giveaway - pure longhaired Bengals do exist but they are very rare and I know of none in Australia :)

Sorry but I'd carry my injured dog a few steps at a time rather than leave her to die. Imagine how lot and terrified Missy would have been after being abandoned like that. And then to make NO EFFORT to get her back until she was safely back down the mountain... *shakes head* True heros, the Washburns and those who went to rescue Missy in her time of need

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/theroyalfamily/9485644/Queens-corgis-attack-Princess-Beatrices-terrier-Max.html Recipe for trouble I think - Nine dogs being walked by one dog walker. I don't care what size they are, I think just goes to show you that any dog no matter the breed is capable of moments of aggression. I don't know a great deal about the Queen's corgis and how they are kept, I wonder how much socialization they have had with other dogs aside from the occasional visitor with their pet?
-
STUNNING! I am betting the pup in question in the OP had a dad who jumped the fence ;) Any person selling to a pet store may not to be aware a litter can have multiple sires.
-
Basenji, Kelpie, maaaaybe even a little German Shepherd. HANDSOME MAN. Good on you for rescuing :)

Agreed.

What's It Like At Your Place?

Wow! Great photos! This isn't quite my place, but were taken at the river just down the road :)
