  1. Well that's an emotional reason not a quality or business reason. You could apply that to any animal that ends up as dog meat.
  2. We just brought some Roo from there, I was happy with it.
  3. Yes, the eyes do look out of place huh! A boxer could be a good guess as one of his many breeds! He also has a VERY high pitched bark which catches you by suprise, thought it could just be a baby puppy think but I think its just him.
  4. Ive had a number of fosters on Wellness and have been very happy with it, my current puppy though is having runny bum on it though so I think a bit rich for him.
  5. Red greyhounds can have that widows peak too, Fern had it. Yep a real cutie. Ah, that could explain the potential size of him.
  6. I had considered that but photos of Rotti's I've looked at don't have that marking.
  7. Here he is next to my fully grown (16 kilo) Lab x. Those some big feet LOL
  8. Yes he does have rather large paws with a rather small head LOL
  9. 12 weeks old - 7.5 kilos (a bit underweight). This one has me stumped, I'm thinking some Sheppy in there given the colouring through the topline and tail and maybe the head marking? Maybe a bit of Beagle? I don't need a Breed ID, I already have a home for him when he's ready - just interested in what your thoughts are. Pound Shot:
  10. How strange and ridiculous. Imagine trying to get a Mastiff in a create who wasn't crate trained? I find most people love being in public with their dogs and like the interaction surrounding their pet. Those who don't usually have no hesitation is expressing this. Forcing animals out of sight seems unprofessional. If I was asked to do this on entry I would not return. Last time I was at the vet, I had two Great Danes with me! Not a hope in hell that one of their crates could be wheeled in, or two for that matter  LOL Could you imagine! How Stupid LOL
  11. Light hearted thread...not a terrible leader you need help thread *wink*
  12. I love the ones who just let their dog approach your new rescue when you tell them you don't know their vaccination status. It's not a social area!
  13. Mine have found that standing and staring at me works. My Lab x can do it for a good half hour and it irritates the crap out of me so I shamefully cave.
  14. Yeah I'm starting to think that, I'll have to deal with it once the dog is in care, will just have to do a surrender letter rather than the change of owner m/c form.
  15. There are four national microchip registries; The National Pet Register Australian Animal Registry Central Animal Records Pet Safe Then there is the NSW Companion Animal Registry (for NSW residents). I would encourage NSW pet owners to also list their pets microchip registry also. Aslong as your animals details are current and upto date on one of the four national registries, you will be ok. If an animal is impounded and microchipped, the council/pound/shelter can check www.petaddress.com.au which will let them know which one of the four national registries that microchipped is listed on. sorry old thread!
  16. Hey Guys, I'm in NSW and am taking on a puppy from VIC that was chipped in QLD. I have the chip number but I can't find it on any of these: The National Pet Register Australian Animal Registry Central Animal Records Pet Safe Am I missing any?
  17. I'd just lay some turf, doesn't have to be much.
  18. Looks like a nice little pup with good drive. I think the pup did obviously tire and I personaly would have wound up before that happened. I'm not a Gun Dog person so it's not really appropriate for me to comment on their training and methods etc. I don't think pups should be overly restricted. Like Labs, some Great Dane Breeders get excessive about exercise restrictions that aren't positive for the future of the dog.
  19. If he's from a Breeder then check with them if they have experienced anything like that before and if they've had any thyroid problems.
