Puki if you want a show quality pup you are going to have to pay the going rate to a well established, well known breeder who also shows his/her dogs and does health testing. I think it is brilliant that you want to buy from a reputatble breeder, but you need to safe up, ask questions here andlet us know what breed you are looking for. :D

I don't think string pulling is going on as the dog came from Karratha by plane and was delivered direct from Perht Airport, and was given at a discount as no work had been done - no ongoing paperwork for any kind of bet treatment has been given. With regard to the pup from the South West I phoned the number DeeAnn left and confirmed that this dog here is Chevy (now called Jack) as posted on PetRescue. He has had a needle but he was covered in fleas and flea eggs. He was apparently delivered by his breecder who was on her way to meet someone at Perth Airport, and she is the one who commented that he could be bred from. I believe that paperwork is to come for him and his desexing deal.

I think we are referring to the same group. I last posted before Christmas about the up country group and the Metro group came and inferred that they were not really connected, but that they offered the use of vet services inPerth. This current dog has come from the SouthWest of the state - and the person delivering the un-neutered dog told my freidn that she could breed from him I was a member of the group (as a foster carer) until I could not longer agree with their practices.

I have a boy inclined to the itchies. Malaseb he is also allergic to, made his rash worse He is allergic to oats and beef, so I make sure that any kibble I buy does not have unspecified grain, or specifiec oats in it' I also make sure that no food he eats has beef or beef by-products in it.

This particular group covers most of WA it seems. I have seen their manifesto and it states that all dogs are to be temp tested, neutered, vet checked - all people who want to adopt are to be interviewed, homes inspected before a dog is rehomed. THEY DON'T EVEN ABIDE BY THEIR OWN RULES

Ams I do know that PR is a ad place for many dog rescue places - hence I sent in a complaint. I am also trying to get hold of the people involved in this rescue to voice my disgust!

My neighbour got a young bitch (about 2.5 months old) off Petrescue just before Christmas. The dog is intact, no promises made to have her desexed, no home check done. The dog had come from Roeburne WA. At the end of last week my neighbour took delivery of a deaf red heeler cattle dog (3 months old) from the same rescue agency - he is not neutered, is full of fleas. The woman who delivered him told my neighbour that if she wanted to, she could breed from him I thought rescue had strict rules about desexing, home checking, before rehoming. I am appalled - my neightbour is great with dogs, but does not really like to desex bitches (I am working on that), the male will be desexed but his balls have not yet dropped. Both of these dogs were on Petrescue and I have sent in a complaint, but that is not stopping the rescue group from doing what I consider to be the wrong thing! Rant over, feel better now I've got that off my chest

Kelly Louise I am so sorry that Chloe has gone down again. I wonder if it is worth trying her on Lysodren instead of the Trilostant. I find (from my reading) that the Trilostane is a really 'up and down' drug. I find Lysodren to be more steady. However, if she has a belly tumour that is another story. I suppose it may be that she has adrenal cushing's with a growth on an adrenal gland. Crap I guess that you are "supposing" everything too. Keeping you and Chloe and your Mum in my thoughts.

The City of Canning has the same rule. If a dog is caught by the ranger and not neutered then the council can insist on it being sorted at the expense of the owner - only exception is if you can prove you are a breeder and the dog escaped by accident (very infrequently).

Zedley is a pretty good dog, except he is a runner. He does know recall, but if he sees something interesting then he is off. I have tried and given up (he is a Wire HF Terrier) and keep him on lead or confined dog areas, or on a long line. He does escape from time to time. I must get my gates dropped a few inches as he has commandos under them and goes to visit with the ngihbours
