  1. Anybody know where I can bulk buy chicken pieces, offal, beef pieces, pork and fish pieces etc in the Sydney area? I am from Liverpool, and I haven't had any luck so far.
  2. Hi guys, I have heard some people say that they buy meat in bulks for their dogs. I was just curious as to where you people who feed chicken RMB bulk buy the majority of it from? I buy RMBs for $4 a kg for drumsticks/wings/necks etc, around $3 a kg for chicken dog mince and around $2 for 4 chicken frames. I have heard people say that they buy 12kg boxes of wings and necks for $10. That is an absolute BARGAIN, and if I know where to buy it from, I would definitely purchase it from there. Another question I want to ask is, are chicken frames good for German Shepherds? When I buy at the butcher, I see these big pieces of chicken ribs advertised at 4 or 5 for $1. They have minimal meat on them, and don't look like they would have much nutritional value for my dog. Am I seeing something else, or are they chicken frames, and if so do people think they offer any nutritional benefits for your dogs? I live around the Liverpool area in NSW, and would greatly appreciate any suggestions from anyone. Look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully you can help me: D Will. Edit: I apologise if I have posted this in the wrong section.
  3. He is gorgeous! Thanks I will try to keep that in mind
  4. Hey guys, I have a friend who is a registered breeder that has just had a litter of German Shepherd pups. 4 males and 3 females in total. The father is a German Import with nice dark pigment and the mother has good pigment as well. I am a big fan of the dark mask that many German Shepherds have, and my question is, how can I determine what the pigment in a 8 week old puppy will be when it is fully grown. These dogs are black and tan pups, and both parents have good colouring so I assume that all puppies will inherit this trait, but is there anything that you can look at in a puppy to estimate the strength and level of pigment? I asked a friend of mine who is very experienced with DDR german shepherds, and he said in working dogs, the most important thing is to look at the nails, if the pup has black nails, it will have a strong overall pigmentation. The only thing I'm certain about is the black spots on the tounge, if a puppy has that, it is an indicator of strong pigment. If any German Shepherd owners/breeders, or any breed for that matter has any knowledge and experience in this, I would greatly appreciate it. Regards; Will.
