I have always wormed before mating & 2 weeks after whelping! No problems here at all, no worms either.

sadly there are far too many judges doing "payback" for other judges. Only on the week-end some lovely dogs were beaten at breed level by a very average dog! however the dog was owned by a All Breeds judge! Is there any wonder people get very "over it" when you are faced with this sort of judging.

That is a little rich, my vet told me it would be $65.00 per pup so I'm happy to go with that. Maybe you need to ask around to get a better price.

Personally I think this is a smart way to breed now days with DNA, you get a chance of two bites of the cherry. Hope more breeders start this method in breeding

There is a 1800 number maybe call Novartis, think you will find you that you can't split the tablets.

Having worked at Novarits for a number of years you can't split tablets or the new chews. If you do this your dog may not get the full coverage that is needed, this is why there is the weight range across the product.

Oh thanks Sandra777, so you would still be able to do a mating that was say dog A was the father of the sire & was also the grandfather of the dam?

Thank-you all again, very helpful information given. She is happy within herself but is very fussy when it comes to food, I know that fresh meat alone is far from the best diet but at this stage I just want her to eat something. I guess it's small steps & one day at a time

Thank-you for the replies. There was no real reason for the bloat, dog was quite, ate slowly nothing that would suggest bloat. Yes the vet has removed spleen & tacked the stomach in the hope that it will all help. I have been told to feed 4-5 small meals with no dry, so at this stage she will only eat fresh meat I have given BBQ chicken, My Dog but no good. I'm hoping this will change as she is very thin now from her stay in hospital.
