hmmm I had that feeling - hence my post.. Thats a shame, i'd like a list of breeds found in him.. oh well

I heard recently at the RSPCA million paws walk that a breed profile can be done which will show you a history of breeds in your dogs dna This is what I'd like to find out, we have a feeling he has Bull Terrier ect in him but are unsure

Hi, no we dont have papers for him unfortunatly as we had never intended to breed him, we bought him from a friend who had a AmStaff & a Stafford.. so he is a cross. But we always think he has some diffrent breeds in him.. would like to know out of curiousity.. There is no such test?

Hi all, We have an American Staffy & we would like to get a DNA profile done on him.. Purely out of curiousity as he is desexed & we arent breeding from him obviously Ive read a few websites & it seems a lot of the DNA profiling done is more for Breeders ect & doesnt accutally give you a list of what breeds are found I saw one site called Bitza (or similar) & they seemed to specialize in giving you a list of Breeds found in your dogs DNA profile Just wondering how accurate this is, as it was over $150.. Is there a cheap, well know, reliable, accurate place to get this test done?? Is it even possible or just a money maker?

She already is showing signs of wanting to be boss & he luckily is extreemly submissive I think giving them a week together as a sort-of "trial" is going to be out next step

yes that is a good point, he does have his bad habbits & so does she, although we dont know the full extent of her bad habits.. His are really only chewing & pulling when we go for walks..

Thank you for your fast replies, No it didnt seem to make sence to me either.. I said to the man "we have had them together for a day & also have had a meet up in a park & they love playing with eachother, we have seen them eat & drink together & all seems fine" He really didnt seem to have an answer but did say he had 13 years experience & has seen people do the same thing as us thinking it is the right thing to do but it doesnt work out... I think it is more on the individual dogs rather then a set rule. Glad I am not the only one who is a little unclear of his statement

Hi all, We have a 10 month old Male, recently desxed Staffy & are thinking of adopting a 11 month old Female, non-desexed Staffy (part Boxer) she needs to find a new home We thought it would be a good idea as our boy seems to be getting very bored, lonely ect as we unfortunately have to work & loves the company of other dogs.. He is a very friendly boy, loves everyone & all dogs – he can’t get enough of his four legged friends. We have had the two together in our yard for a day & everything seemed to be fine, they seem like a great combo – very equal energy levels although she is a little more feisty then our boy. We were at the RSPCA Million Paws Walk having a chat to the RSPCA behaviour specialist & we mentioned adopting the Female Staffy, he said it was a bad idea & we would be better to wait until he is atleast 3 to introduce another dog.. & to make sure we get a dog that is smaller then him (Pug, Cavalier) or a dog that is bigger then him (Labrador, Border Collie) He said to get a dog with a different temperament as our boy. I was wanting to get some other opinions on this as now we are considering not adopting the Female Staffy X He didn’t seem to have any real reason not to go ahead & see how it works out but was very adamant it was a bad move... Ideas, opinions? Thanks in advance
