  1. Oh don't get me wrong, I am super excited! I just havn't been able to do as much with him in the past week as I would have liked, and his breeder will be there, so I don't want to let her down! I just can't wait really! I am doing a practice grooming session this afternoon!
  2. Thanks Aziah, I'm starting to get super nervous as my little boy isn't great with letting someone open his mouth yet, he gets the super wriggles! I will just be throwing out the swag in my gazebo fir this first show. I'll have to try and meet you all at some stage!
  3. Hey onz, and everyone! This will be my first ever dog show, my little guy is just old enough, but unfortunately I will only be there Saturday and Sunday! Lots of training to do this coming week, and I need to sort out his funky ear situation! I will also have colour samples of the Glamour Show Leads with me for people who are interested and my own couple of leads to show. Make sure people come and say hi! I will be stressed I'm sure, but really want to meet everyone Is camping allowed at these grounds? And does anyone have their catalogues yet?
  4. I am just getting started and only have one baby puppy, but obviously still want to do a good job. Can you suggest anything for the first month or so until I save for some good ones such as those roseline scissors?
  5. Not very great photos, but this is my little rising star - 2 weeks till his first shows!
  6. Hmm now to decide what colour! I have a navy gazebo, so thinking blue, green or even purple?
  7. Sorry, seems my iPhone did a double post, please ignore this topic
  8. Hey guys, I am looking to buy some half decent grooming scissors, one plain and a thinner. Where should I look online for a reasonable but not overly expensive pair?

  10. Hey guys! As most of you have seen by now, I have a gorgeous little guy who is coming up on 11 weeks of age this week. I have been trying to teach him the basics of standing without wiggling, gaiting alongside (he is very bouncy, trying to jump + run), he has been learning to be touched while standing and mouth touched. I really need some guidance as to how to teach him, and what I should be teaching him? He is such a nice little guy and I want to give him the best chance I can, even for his first shows. :D He is also such a fast learner, I feel like if I knew how to go about it we might get there a bit quicker! :D He is going really well with clicker training so far, but if you don't train with a clicker, I would still love to hear your training ideas/tips! - Also if anyone knows of show training classes anywhere near Dubbo, please let me know!
  11. I am officially in this thread with the new man in my life! Week 32/52 - "Post Puppy Preschool" Week 33/53 - "Testing out the zoomie legs"
  12. Omg how do you get the little guy to stand still for you to stack! I really wish I had anywhere nearby that did show training classes! Hudson will now stand still when I ask, but just a square stand, if I go to move his back legs he wriggles around! We did our first gaiting on lead session today which went better than expected! He is just SO full of energy it is hard to get him to concentrate properly. :D Congrats on the great results Bjelkier + LOTG!! :D
  13. I am having more trouble with my little guy, as he tends to poo in the garage when I am away during part of the day at work.. He has the whole backyard and yet he always seems to toilet on the concrete in the garage? He was great for the little while I was able to spend all day with him, hardly any accidents! :D It is hard though when I can't be watching him 24/7.. I wish I could, but unfortunately I do need to work!
  14. I like these two that I have taken this week. :D
  15. Hudson doesn't really like the daily pin brush to make sure he isn't matted.. I am trying to get him used to it for shows! He had his first bath yesterday and LOVED it, although he was not as keen on the hair dryer! But the towel rub he did love. :D Nails he was also perfect, a little wriggly but not trying to get away, just his normal wriggly self! I am thinking of getting him a grooming table to make my life a little easier! Anyone think this makes it a lot better?
  16. Vaccuming can actually make it worse though, as it can stir up the pupae into hatching (they hatch with movement and/or heat) but Lyndsay is right, flea bombs only sit on top of the carpet, when the eggs and pupae are usually down low.
  17. I have actually found in my clinic - Comfortis is cheaper than Frontline anyway... So I try and encourage people to go with it instead. I have never had much luck with Sentinal, and as far as I remember it is also quite expensive.
  18. More photos of Hudson! http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150405858343662.444204.836443661&l=47894084c6&type=1
  19. Great photos!! I really miss not being able to go to the ekka this year!
  20. I think I will need to see how much little Hudson costs me per month in a few months time.. This month he has cost me in excess easily of $2,000 after buying him, crates, food, vet treatments, toys, beds, grooming gear and show entries. :D
  21. I actually got a really quick reply from someone at the company Super nice! Just purchased $230 worth of grooming gear... ooops! haha
  22. Comfortis is amazing for flea control!
