I found her approx ten minute drive from my house on the way home. Called the national pet register who gave me his number, called him. He said he was 200kms away picking up his daughter, but he lives 10 minutes from me. Not knowing the dog i wasnt brave enough to look at her belly, and she wouldnt let me touch her leg. but theres no shaved areas and shes quite hairy and skinny. He also said he hadnt been home in two days and didnt know she was out. He did know about her leg, said he didnt know what it was from and it had been like that for a while. I have only spoken to him over the phone, and not a lot because i have hardly any service here as i live semi rural. Shes come from the animal welfare league as she had a tag on,which i thought they desexed before rehoming anyway? He said hes had her from a pup and has spent $600 on her just this year and $300 something on desexing. It doesnt quite add up to me either! Also said something about his wife living elsewhere and his daughter 200kms away.. I might see if he is home tomorrow to get her records. I think it was just an easy way to get rid of his dog. Im assuming the awl microchips and desexes the dogs before rehoming so im assuming hes not being honest to me. Will be good to talk to him face to face, hopefully tomorrow. And if shes from the awl why did he tell me he got her from a petshop as a pup I thought i would pick up this dog, call the owner and they would come get it. Instead i get this

Ok, i have spoken to the owner. He said he would be here in an hour to pick her up,didnt turn up. Got a phone call saying he thinks its best if i could find her a home. So i said its fine and ill try to find a place for her as shes no trouble here. He said she was desexed three weeks ago and hes spent lots of money on her,but she is an only dog and keeps getting out. He didnt say anything about her leg,and dont think anything has been done about it. So he said whoever takes her he can send out all her vet records as hes had her since a pup, apparently she got out only last week aswell and was on the road with cars beeping at her So shes been fed again, wont let me look at her leg still though. Iam in lewiston so not that far if you were interested in coming to look at her. Shes also on the sa dog rescue page on facebook, i just put it up there. He said hes a truck driver and never home anyway, and recently divorced. So molly has gone from a family home to a lonely backyard by herself. So anyone who can provide a good home feel free to pm me,but shes fine here for now! ill add a picture when i figure out how

Shes so quiet, just sleeping on the mat outside the back door. Even though theres a kennel and raised dog bed and horse rugs to sleep on lol She didnt even seem bothered at the horses looking over the fence at her! It will be a shame to give her back,i mean if my dog went missing i would be pretty worried. I will definately tell him to take her to the vet,i have his number so ill see if i can find out how it goes. My 4yo daughter was saying "is this our new dog" lol and shes great with her too! If i werent getting a puppy in 6 weeks i would love to keep her,but i already have two. And 4 dogs would just kill my oh lol I hate feeling like this,i was hoping i would find her owners and they would be happy to have her back and take her to the vet and fix her up. Instead im worried what will happen to her when she gets back,if she gets out again. He said he didnt even know she was missing as he had been away for two days already i think it was,i hope she had food! She ate a whole bowl of dry food when she got here.

Found a 5yo border collie girl tonight, she was near a busy road and very scared. So i brought her home as shes really friendly, hopped straight in the car, loved the drive. She had a national pet register tag on so i called them and got the owners details. I thought she had been hit by a car as she was walking with a limp,on her left leg.Looks like a small puncture/cut and the joint is all swollen. So after i call him,he tells me shes had the sore leg for quite a while And didnt seem too concerned. Hes also 200kms away and cant pick her up until tomorrow, which is fine with me. I had to cut her collar off to see her tags as her collar was done up with a bolt type thing, and he didnt seem too happy about that, apparently she gets out all the time and he didnt seem concerned about that either. She had an animal welfare league tag on also. I dont know why people like this have pets, and i dont want to give her back tomorrow Maybe im just being a sook.

Hi. Ive been looking at a new bed to put in my dogs kennel, but problem is they pull out and eat everything ive ever had in there. Everything gets dragged out and eaten, now all that is left in the kennel is carpet. They have a horse rug on the other side of the yard that they will sleep on during the day and not eat but anything else is gone within a day. The two ive been looking at are the snooza beds, the pet futon and the durabed. Any recommendations? And want something really soft as our rottweiler is old and has arthritis. Thanks
