That just looks like a pile of rubbish wood that looks a bit dangerous for a puppy? Nuh. That's the old fence that was rebuilt.
-
BTW I had some help putting up the fence.

koalathebear No need to go to Bunnings Put your panel; corrugated iron or wire grid, parallel to the shed and perpendicular to the fence with a diagonal stay to hold it in place. A plank 45 degrees to the panel and the ground effectively making a 45 degree triangle. photo of a diagonal (plank) stay

TM A very intelligent pup or extraordinary training, can't decide which one. 'though you can't get results like that without either. But, if I was going to make a video of my dog's training, I would have cleaned up the yard first.

What really sucked was getting an ultra sound after six weeks and - no pups. What I did notice though was she had not swelled as much as usual. Maybe she's got the early menopause.
-
Bugger That sucks. I'm finding it more frustrating because it's been 10 months since her last season, so if she is coming in and I miss it we're going to be in for another looooong wait. It's not just the wait, good homes get taken by other dogs. This was to be her fourth mating. She was overweight and a younger bitch came into season at the same time. It was interesting times to say the least, but my girl, sort of, got lost in the dust. :D

Yep. We're also novices. My girl completely missed her last season. Came into heat and went out just as quickly. Got a mating in but she didn't take.

Some markets have leather workers plying their trade.

Haven't had the honour or the privilege, maybe because I'm not a small dog person. I only like Cresteds and they're not usually your street dogs. ETA: luv the Bearded Collie

Putting in electric was my last resort. Wish I had done it first thing. Absolutely brilliant. Don't need a gun -
What Makes A Dog Attack On Dog/puppy, But Love
Tralee replied to Caesars mum's topic in General Dog Discussion
Case in point. We cannot make generalisations about dogs, because they only apply 99.9% of the time. There is always that 0.1% when they make a fool of us. What that means is we have to manage the dogs 100% of the time for that 0.1% occurrence. After six years, my 'pussycat' bitch and 'mellow' dog are still giving me surprises! -

Territorial, quite understandable and legal. Testifies to the need for good management. Who knows the why or wherefore of every dogs behaviour.? -

Glad to hear your Maremmas are recovering myValkyrie. However, the cover of darkness is very different to the clear light of day. I too have lost a prize Rhode Island Red and I understand the torn sentiments. I have also had the occasional lost dog, and let's be honest here, I would rather lose a 'chook' or, give up a 'chook', before a dog anyday. I can get another chook at the markets. Other people take a different view, but I can't imagine what it would take to make me pick up a gun. Not gonna' happen peeps'. -

You don't say where you are Bigdog. Dingos are protected in some states, and shooting them attracts huge penalties. My dogs despatched of an aggressive rooster, in the school agriculture plot, that had not been corralled properly. Understandably, the dogs did not take too kindly to being threatened by a big, gaudy, feathery thing. Anyway, personally I would not have taken too kindly to the dogs being shot. IMO I think you did the wrong thing. There are many other options. Maybe a warning shot or two or three. -
Could be a fungus infection. In that case it will itch, break when scratched and sting. Do you have an Elizabethian collar?? Calamine lotion - Woolworths Or talcum powder till morning.

Your dog has low tolerance and, quite frankly, that should not be surprising. Why do you need to exercise your dog around people? Do the dog, yourself and the community a favour and nurse him/her through the time you have together, while the dog is ill. If you want your dog to interact with people then allow the dog to have visitors. The extra attention and special treatment can have miraculous results. (Called the Hawthorne Effect) Why not get the dog an eye patch? It would alert people to your dogs special needs.

The best thing for my dog has been another dog. In fact, the more the merrier. Now with four dogs, they would be 'heartbroken if one of them went 'absent'. They love each other to death, literally. Costs are our major 'con'. You might think management is a 'con' as well but the education has been invaluable. Like I said. The best thing for a dog is another dog. quote: "It is not good that they are alone."

What Was The Lastest Your Bitch Started To Show

I also ultrasound. My girl completely missed her last mating. I don't know what the Vet did at the pre-mating check-up. -
I don't think there is a waiting period. But you do have to pass a "test" You will need to be a member though. So you could apply after you receive your number. You might note that different states have different requirements for the 'test'

What a pity. I have a Maremma bitch who thinks she is a 'pussycat' but we are too far away I still have my T though. "Ancora Imparo" tjhowell.
-
Yep Replace the fence Why wait for the inevitable? They stopped making those fences for a reason, you know. I've had fence dramas myself, and you can't get a fence contractor around here.
-
Sounds too impulsive to me. It could be done though. Being on DOL is certainly redeeming. I had a red cat once.

Dogs scratch for lots of reasons, not just fleas. One common cause of scratching is loose hair that irritates them as it sits in their coat. Moulting dogs scratch more than usual because of all the loose hair. If she is like me, then she is hyer-sensitve to bites and will continue to scratch for days

It's a good question because when I moved onto acreage three years ago and they had nothing. So in order of need Fenced yard/s Surfaced areas (including around house) Covered areas (including around house) Dog management area: meal storage and preparation, bathing and grooming, etc I built a deck and the dogs love it. I could get carried away here. Disneyland for dogs

I love 'em My 50 kg Maremma can jump up that high. So, my question is: if the stairs can only support a low weight then what's stopping someone from lifting the dog up? ETA: I just spoke to Edwin on live chat and they said that the product page should be watched over the next few days and they will update the information.
