  11. I saw the other thread and didnt want to hijack it, but after my still ongoing bill from the vet I will be looking into insurence now!! I was reading a few brochures in the clinic and was getting thouroughly confused?? Who has what and what do they like and dislike and how much per month are you paying for it?
  12. I popped into this thread as long ago my families maltese (badlybackyard bred) fell of a bed onto her back and did the same thing.. ruptured disk causing parplysis. Your story of recovery is so similer. Im so glad he is moving his back legs now, and from what I saw with our little sophie, its a long road! A wee by himself and now his back legs working in 3 monthsish, Wow fantastic! Keep up his treatment and he will improve day by day, and Longdogs, a big pat on the back to you and other breeders for doing the right thing by the breed!
  13. My boy was vaccinated, he is almost 7 months old. I think I will stay away from DOL for a bit as it seems to be upsetting too many people and making people paranoid, I had no intention of this at all. Thank you for all good thoughts, I will read but will refrain from posting anything for a while.
  14. poochmad, Hef was still trying to play with my old maltese that afternoon, then just got more and more 'mopey' please keep an eye on your boy...It was NSW that he contracted this virus..
  15. My dog didn't get it in Victoria but NSW, Erskine Park...I havnt heard of it being in Victoria at all?? Plus my dogs didn't show or were only in my backyard since I got back, so I havn't unknowingly spread it either (I also have shoes I use only in the backyard and with the dogs...) Also my older vaccinated more then once (over the years) seem to have an immunity to it, they are 2, 4, 6 and 7 years of age. I think age places a factor as well...I am still giving them protexin and slippery elm supplements to boost their immune systems as well.

  17. Anyone know any good ones to give my other guys? I am adding protexin, (no more yakult as vet told me protexin better) and slippery elm, I have also just ordered a hollistic immune support supplement..
