Doesn't suprise me at all to be honest .... in my breed the entries can vary between 10 & 40 depending on the judge at Melbourne shows. Group entries can be as low as 100 and up to 250 .... People learn fast .... and like me they have better things to do with their time and money. Show Committees need to learn ... poor entries should be sending you a message ... Well said.

sorry for your loss Good thinking of other pups though

A dog can develop heart disease from taurine deficincy Has the dog been checked by a specilaist ? I'd not be refunding anything until that had been done. Agree.

I was thinking about doing it this year, anyone up for a DOL meet up at the same time?? (i will just bring a Brittany and Maybe one cairn) as I have the toddler in a pram I only have two hands ;) -
Well you should go find the add and have a read then, and then you'd have an idea! Also how can I "publically ridicule this breeder" when I have posted nothing about them, bar some words from an add??

Missymoo replied to Tapua's topic in General Dog Discussion
Deaccident Dewhoops Definatly Unxpected Dwats that Do U think Disarster Not Delightful surprise LOL!! ;) ( I whelped a litter that had a little surpise at the end hours later, her name was Symply a Surprise!) -
What I have a problem with is these are "Dogs Vic" registered breeders who obviously have no clue... I also recall another thread for a person who bought a Blue staff especially for the colour and got in all sorts of bother with a skin condition and the breeder not refunding her etc??

Taken form an add (no link of course!) But for crying out loud, really??? ".....a litter of pure bred BLUE English staffy pups 4 females $2200 each. 2 males $1800 each...Pups will be sold registered with papers, vet checked, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped....We are a registered breeders with the VCA....." things that make you go mmmmm...geezz

You will often see a dog that is winning regularly be it because it is a good example of the breed or not siring a number of litters. I often hear from breeders saying that they are going to use so and so cause it is so good and has won so much. I have seen grand champions that have the wrong movement and yet they continue to be put up. I am not saying that all judges are face judging but it is starting to get beyond a joke. I am more than happy to see a dog win consistantly if it is good, but when it is a bad example of the breed it is giving false hopes to the owner/breeder/handler. It is also interesting to see some of the dogs that are winning consistantly at all breeds can not win at a specialty. In the past 20 years I have seen a lot of things change in the show world but you have to wonder why there is less and less people showing now than then. Leanne I agree with you here
