yup a friend almost lost a bitch this week up there..

OK Ive never heard of it before but thought Id ask here, A friend is being asked to export a pup to a non rabies country where even on government website its even states Australia as one of the countries that allows pups to travel with passenger (not via freight as usual). Meaning the person comes pics up pup from the home and takes straight to airport, does a vet check etc and then is loaded for a straight through flight where is it met by the owner off the same plane on the other end. That does sound good, but she and I have never heard of this happening??? I believe its one of the Nordic countries pup is heading too.... Ive been googling for all Im worth but am coming up with the same answers she is, I dont think its possible.. Anyone?

I replied thoughtfully dont worry, I suggested at least 6 month gap and to make sure the breeds were compatible...

Is it just me or do others wonder why people even want a puppy if they want two "to keep each other company" I really really hate that phrase...

I've actually turned my heat in the whelping box off...mum is took hot and pups just spread out..unusual for this time of year. i did have it on the lowest setting but mum who was very settled and quiet is now panting more... Gah I hate the first week, so much guess work!!! pft..I really hate the phrase "I am looking at getting two puppies, not necessarily of the same breed, so they can keep each other company" really really annoys me..like why bother getting a dog?? Instead of being grumpy and just deleting email (which I have been doing alot lately as my hormones are super grumpy...lol I replied the suggestion of at least a 6 month gap and why (socialisation,training, bonding etc) and will see what they say.. I also hate that they just expect they are getting one after the first email... Man l, I have dumped so many emails lately...I am just not in the mood for it...gah!!

6 arrived here last night, safe n sound..3 boys, 3 girls :) Mum and pups doing wonderfully :)

I have been using a folded up towel wrapped on and held with vet wrap for my pup whos just had his rear dews done :) he looks very silly but its not really bothering him and because its soft he can sleep comfy too :) edited to add: I didnt have anything..until he chewed one of his stitches out!! (two on either paw)

i had a girl done at 9 weeks post whelp, all good!

Picked up mum to be on Tuesday (my friend owns her) I am trying to bulk up her weight a bit, she's very lean, not skinny, but I would prefer more weight on her. I think all her coat made her mum think she was fat, lol, my friend has been religiously following my instructions with food etc but I guess I am used to adding more or giving less as I watch them grow ! I love sending her candid pics of her, (ie one just now to be sent in the morning: "3am preggy ladies cheese sandwiches"...where Lola is standing with her head looking into the fridge as I make us cheese sandwhich each, lol ;) Congrats on pups born!!

In out local area (local streets) Ive seen a Bedlington and a Kerry Blue (just yesterday!) lots of Boxers, Samyods and Cavaliers...lots of obligatory Jack Russell's and SWF as well :)

Your breeder should be your first point of call :) They can asess the pup you have and guide you. Otherwise head down to some shows and have chats with people of your chosen breed (what breed? there might be few here that can help you!) Then register with you state governing body and enter a show :)

because it had already been beaten. Sorry Im crap at explaining things!! He went in for puppy in group and was beaten by Afghan therefore could not go back in the ring again.

I would still rather a pet owner clip their dog then see it in all sorts of matts and mess
