Cockers are very lovable dogs they love everyone!!!! And I'm sure he will bond all they need is lots of cuddles and kisses oh and food helps ;)

My old German Shepard RIP was a ankle nipper but so is my cocker spaniel it's just a puppy thing kovu our gsd grew up in a caravan while we where in the middle of moving houses we almost changed his name to Kato as he would spring out of no where charge full pelt down the caravan and go straight for the ankles it was so funny

I would buy my dream house in eumundi with no less than 6 acres for my horse and dogs to run on with a swimming pool which we could both use :D a sand pit for him to play in lots of toys his own tiled room with air con and state of the art dog flap to his own privet garden area best beds money can buy and he would be stair of the charity I would set up this is if I win the big lotto over Christmas maybe I might just get lucky for once

I agree I have never ever smacked zorro while training because there is no need and they then learn if they come to you they will be smacked so it has a negative affect. I have always praised zorro when he "comes" even if I have had to do it in my growl voice but once he comes to me he gets a good boy and a pat if he comes straight away he gets a treat and an extra big fuss over how is a smart boy he is still only 7 months so he still a naughty little puppy at times :p but he has never not come to me because he is scared and his recall gets better all the time like only time I smack him was to reinforce the no or leave command for when he had a toad in his mouth that he was refusing to drop like I said still a naughty puppy

I have smacked zorro when he has been VERY naughty and not listening I do not beat him and I don't smack him for no reason only when he would not drop a toad or has be found eating a shoe which he knows is wrong. But he gets lots of praise even when he does the smallest thing right. I think just like a naughty child giving them a smack on the bottom when they have done somthing really naughty is fine but I would never beat a child or animal and hurt them out of anger or because I was up set that is wrong.

But I didn't want that I like his long coat I just wanted under his ear his feet and around his boy area done which she did so happy about that yay

Picking him up from his breeders he was so sweet and just wanted cuddles it didn't bother him leaving his litter mates. Then seeing my boyfriends face when he saw him that night I never thought I would see him be do smoochy with a puppy

Well I suppose it got him use to having somthing on his head I'm getting his zorro costume soon which will be cute (for fancy dress) I think a bandana would look super cute on him

I think it was because they all thought he was so cute I was just unsure if it was a normal thing they do lol I don't think he minded probably loved the attention to much

Okay my obedience club have just said they are having there end of year Christmas party and it is fancy dress I need a cute out fit for me and zorro I have SOO many ideas but by sure if they would work so any other ideas would be great!!

yep totally normal im just thankful my cats go for rodents and not birds only seen her with one bird and we think it was the one with the bad wing that had been hanging around for a while but that is all

Please someone correct me if I am wrong but I think the cosmetics of docking are on the bottom of the list.....there are other reasons why some breeds get their tails docked im sure? I cannot see any medical reason why a dog would need to get their tail docked (at birth I understand there are issues that happen to older docks that lead to tail docking for health purposes). +1 I see no need to dock tails of dogs that are perfectly healthy and only because people think it looks pretty

I'm the biggest animal but my bf isn't but since teaching him to ride he loves my horse and his silky clean coat ;) and since having zorro he has gone from a dogs outside only man to being the one allowing him on the cream leather sofa an the bed and he always makes sure he has his lunch and if I'm working nights he will walk zorro for me and when I go away he will also feed my horse ( just got to teach him how to put rugs on next). And said he wouldn't mind a second dog when we get our own place yay but it has to be another cocker spaniel apprently My boys

I think in a fenced off lead dog park designed for dogs to be off lead and not for children or picnics then I would be annoyed if a leashed dog came in that was aggressive when approached by other dogs as it is not a place for tho's sort of dogs to be. But if it was a public park with a non fenced area and dogs where allowed off lead then yes I would be annoyed if a dog went up to another dog that was on a lead as it is a public park free for ALL to use. Not just for off lead dogs.

Our gsd tried to eat a pin cushion he stole of the table when my mm got up to get a cuppa, we all heard a yelp saw the pin cushion on the ground and kovu with his mouth open when my dad got to him and looked in his mouth he had a pin in the roof of him mouth and NOT the pointy end poor boy. But he got over that puppy chew everything he see's stage quickly
