i don't live near there :S but have spoken to to someone that works at the council and she said going in there would be good and even told me who to talk to so will be doing that next week. she also said if they are not listening to the phone calls email won't get far she also said to go in there with at least 2 others. she also said that they are slack very bad reputation atm during the floods the mayor went on holiday got out just before everything thing went under and told the council to just deal with it. i will let everyone know what happens when we go in

I think there maybe a reason as to why they want a guard dog, maybe they are getting harassed by someone maybe they are scared and want a dog that will protect them and MAYBE they know what to do to make sure it is properly fenced in, also the gard might have just been a typo :p i think they should have gone about it in another way than that advert by they might not have known any better.

I guy we reported it to the local council office I was never given a reference number and I have spoken to the others and didn't get one when they rang and was told the same thing I was: ( thank you for your report and will look into it as soon as possible) so we might try going in there in person and kindly ask to speak with someone about this matter and not leave until it is resolved. I will be keeping an eye of the dog to make it is okay and will you know what happens thanks for all your input

I sure you will find a special dog out there for you. RSPCA would be the best place you sound like a lovely caring person. Maybe you should email your local RSPCA and they could help you find your perfect match. And I know I will be flamed for this but poodles do tend to suffer from separation anxiety they want to be with you as much as they can because they love you. Good luck and when you do find the right dog time with a holiday do your at home with him and can slowly get use to the idea you can be there 24/7 good luck

Just a bit concerned about legal stuff, I don't think it would be illegal to take the dog seeing as it has no I'D and I'm not taking it from the property. I hope it is okay after I hit it

No, don't take the dog anywhere. Just call the council and report it. Every time you see the dog loose. We have reported it lots of times that's the problem we are currently facing the council are doing nothing! It's be a year !

Hey everyone thank you for the quick replies! I live in qld and I might take it to the RSPCA next time I see it lose ( it never has a collar on ) I think she is a back yard breeder one of it's pups ended up I'm my BF's mums back yard trapped by her gsd. I don't have a dog yet but I'm picking my pup up next week and it would be nice when he is old enough to take him for walks with out him being attacked. Once again thanks for the quick replies

Hi all, I currently have a problem with a dog on our street. It is always out of the yard running around on the road, somtimes it will hide in a bush and run out bark at the car and today I hit it I screamed as it was a big shock ( I was only doing 40) but it seamed okay and ran back to the house. Now me and 5 other people on our street have complain to the council about the dog as me and the others are scared to walk down the street with our dogs as it will run over and start trying to attack. The council has done nothing!!!! And this afternoon the lady that owns the dog came to my house and was threatening to sue me because I hit her dog. Any advice on the matter would be a big help. ( p.s the dog looks like a Maltese)

I don't like small breeds everytime we took our gsd to the park he would get attacked by a small dog!! He would end up running away from a small snappy dog he was a bit of whimp but still he was 10 times their size and thing that scared us most is that even tho the small dog always attacked him if he went to defend him self because he was thr bigger dog and gsd he would be the one made as a danger it's just bullish$@!t.

When we had our German shep he would try to take your whole hand off if you went to give him a treat all we did was yelp like he had hurt us and quick pull your hand away with the treat and it only took 2 days for him to realize hands are not for chewing

Hi all I'm about to get a cocker spaniel and I plan to take a week off work to let him settle in, but I'm not sure if he will be okay at home he will be in the laundry and has access to outside, I only work 6 hrs and my boyfriend comes in and out of home all day and I work most nights so really he will not be left alone for the whole 6 hrs. Will he be okay? I plan to teach him in the week that I get off to be left alone slowly oh and he will have toys to play with
