Jut had my cat in the vet thanks to a par tick thank god there is tick stuff for dogs but wish there was some for cats. My horses have had some on them but they don't get affected but them maybe because they are bigger

I could not be a groomer if I had a dog that bad come to me for grooming I would be calling the RSPCA. My mum had a standard poodle once she went to a groomer and asked for an all over trim showed her what she wanted and said I DO NOT want pom poms I want my dog to look like a dog so not pom poms just an all over trim. And well she came back to pick her dog up and guess what it had pom poms she though they where giving her the wrong dog to start with lol. I have had so much trouble finding someone to groom zorro they all said to shave him and I didn't want him shaved but finally found someone that does points and couldn't understand why the other groomers wanted to shave him ( he is brushed daily and has a super coat) but I think it's the same everywhere you go, you get good groomers and bad ones just got to shop around till you find one

Can I just say good on the OP for realizing it was their dogs fault not many people would see it like that or if they did they would not admit it so well done you are a fantastic dog owner ad should be more like you. My OH mum has a dog that would bite or attack a dog that came running over to it barking and he has once ( SWF was running around on the road could have been hit by a car or bitten a person walking) he will not bite another dog who is on lead walking past or person he was just protecting himself and his owner just as if someone came running over to us shouting abuse ww would defend ourselfs. Her dog is a DA but would protect himself and his mum if he felt threatened by another dog. And this is also a dog that let's my pup jump all over his face

I use the word wait!! I started by having my hand on his chest as I put the bowl on the floor then would ask for sit and at first I would have to hold his bum on the ground then ask for wait, wait about 5 seconds then say okay and let him eat he will slowly begin to understand why you want and change it as he gets better if he starts to creep forward then pick up the bowl ask for sit then wait then place the bowl on the found.

Like when I closed my sitting business as I was I'll had one lady ring up asking to look after her Goldie I said no my business is closed as I'm ill and gave her a number to call but she would not stop asking why I couldn't just look after her dog she said oh I will pay cash in hand don't worry about getting in trouble blah blah I had to spell it out for her NO I AM ILL I cannot look after your dog and just hung up you get some really bad customers with no manners and it is so annoying because you have to be polite

i have been having trouble with Zorro he is toilet trained so to say but will not let me know when he wants to go out so will then do it next to the back door before i can get to him in time if i leave the door open we don't have accidents has he knows speak im asking him to do that before i let him out so he can make a connection

don't worry about it you will always have crappy clients no matter what job you do and even more when you run your own business i agree you should have charged extra lol that's what i have done with my dog sitting if they ring up the night before they are leaving i charge an extra $5 because it is such short notice and it means i have to change things around

Yes the sad thing is some dog are born aggressive ( usually from bad breeding) but it's not jut one breed many breeds have this problem and it comes from byb and puppy farmers which is sad

that's a pic of it its not that bad in that photo but that's when it started to happen its getting bigger and bigger i want to get a coat king so might look into that

Zorro has this little bit of hair on his head that stands up and no matter what i do i can not get it to lie flat its a bit better but it can be so funny. i have tried washing it and combing it flat the only other thing i can think of is cut it but i don't want to do that any ideas?

I feed my pup human mince what ever is going on special then just add some brown rice ( or white but brown is better) and carrots broccoli pr any veg really just look up to see what veggies they can't eat I add a little bit of reduced salt veg stock just for a bit of flavor and that last a week remember to freeze half tho and I get chicken frames from the local butcher as it's cheaper

I think donatella was just being concerned about a dog locked in a cage that looked like it was being provoked and it doesn't sound like don was meaning any harm if anything was just concerned for the dog. I have stood around my dog laughing at at him barking and growling at a new toy if someone walked past they might see him as being aggressive instead of just playing
