I guess I better join the thread again. We have just enquired about a Newfoundland puppy Not sure when we will be getting her yet. They have a litter at the moment, but we have to wait to see if any are of show quality. It'll be 3 puppies for our house hold. Now the wait begins :D

Wow he is amazing

Our neighbors had someone complain about their dog and they went around the block door knocking to appologise for their dog barking and asking if anyone had a problem with it. People need to understand that dogs do bark, especially young ones.

Holly sleeps on my bed and goes to sleep whenever I do. She goes to the toilet before we go to sleep and she wakes me up in the middle of the night if she needs to go to the toilet again. She usual holds until I wake up.

I was hoping to avoid places like that. But you do have a point.

We have Silkys with tails and personally I think they look a lot better with them.

I would like to know what everyone thinks about taking their dogs on weekend trips. I got a new puppy on Tuesday night and I am going away tomorrow night. I want to take her with me, but worrid she wont be able to come with us to some places. My parents offered to look after her for me, but I'm still not sure if I want to leave her just yet. She is a really social pup and a toy dog, but she is only 14 weeks old. I'm really stuck on what to do. Do I take her or do I leave her with my parents? Opinions please people

Joe I believe your missing the point. All pups are equal to a breeder. They spend just as much time and money on each pup. Just because it has a colour fault and is not good in the ring does not mean it is a dud. A lot of time, planning and money goes into breeding. Why should breeders have to sell their pups for different prices when the same amount of time and love goes into them?

We got our first silky for $500 and our second for $1500 (not including airfairs for both). Our first has the best personality and does great in the ring. Our second pup has top bloodlines with her dad being a grand champion and her mum a Ch. We got her from a reputable breeder. Both had all there needles and were in great health. They are both worth every cent we paid for them best investment we've ever made!

Hi everyone ;) I picked up my new puppy Holly this evening from the airport. She is settling in really well. She puts our other pup in place when she doesn't want to play and she's snuggled up on my lap having a sleep right now. Holly curled up with me 2 hours ago and we had a nap together. She is one spoilt little pup and she's already friends with our cat. The cat wont go anywhere without her being in the same room and he keeps trying to snuggle her Wadz

I just got an email from My breeder and my puppy flys into launceston airport at 4.25pm!!!!! So excited to get my puppy tomorrow!!!!!

My border collie is the dumbest dog I know :/

Silky Terriers all they way. They have great personalities and they do not shed any hair. They are great little dogs and are very friendly. All they need is a little walk or a game of ball. They are great with children and other animals

Yeah we are showing her. We are using show leads for every day use. We have about 7 lol I'm organized I have a freight creat for when we go to the mainland lol so I'll use that to transport her in when she's a bit bigger, but for now we are using a cat creat Naww that is just so sweat hopefully they last! Not long now for us!!!! Yay!

I web toy shopping yesterday and got heaps of soft toys for my pup. Silkys are fairly gental and like to snuggle with their toys. I also got a mini chew toy and a few squeaky toys. I found her a little teather that looks like a baby you, but it's a puppy one. Also picked up a play pen yesterday and puppy training pads! Only a few more days!!!!

Our pup humps our male ragdoll cat and he has a thing for humping his toys as well.

We use Rolles favorite toy. It just so happens to be a mini care bear

I'm glad you don't care what your friends think. I bet it's the best name! You've been waiting for ages. I thought 5 months was a long time but I cannot imagin 2 years. So are you showing her? It's good that the breeder lives close

What kind of dog is your pup? That reminds me I have to go pick up my pen as well haha thanks for that Have you decided on a short name? I chose My little girls registered name Balkana Hollywood Dream. Holly for short. As far as I know. Are you picking up your pup or is she interstate? How exciting!!!

So we just got in contact with our breeder and our little pup should be flying in next week. Still organizing the day! Yes I still have to get her a soft toy and a blanket. We are still organizing puppy school too. We only got a puppy in December so we are pretty much still organized from him haha so exciting!

I think its a wonderful idea. :p They should have cards to take them to the vet. It would also help to find dogs that have been stolen. Dogs are family members too. You can't always help if someone takes your dog from your yard.

We just use show leashes because they are only really small dogs but we use a choker on our border collie. All you need is the main items. Bed, crate, toys, collar, leash and food.
