Loving everyone's easter photos...a happy Easter to everybody from little Paddington! :) PS. Amazing what he will tolerate for chicken!

Love all the photos guys :) Stonecutter: All your shots are gorgeous - Love Ziva getting into the spirit of things for St Patrick's Day! KumaAkita: Paddy sleeps like that in the sunshine but I've never been quick enough to catch the shot - well done! :) GregW: Zoe looks sooo happy in her morning walk! AnnieK: So glad to hear the poo phoebe is on the mend. Cute shot of her having some well-deserved rest. :) Monet&Diva's Mum: I just LOVE those jumping photos...Benson is so cute trying to keep up with your other guys - they must have springs in their feet!! And little Juddy Snook: Both shots are cute - but I just think the one of him drinking out of the sink is fantastic! Jack&Dsh's mum: All cute shots, but I especially like the close up of Dash! MrRedDog: Nice to see a photo of Roxy! She looks like she's really deep in thought! And now for our week 12...We were making the most of the sunshine this morning and playing with a little tunnel I found for Paddy at Ikea....I get the feeling he's going to LOVE agility once he's big enough, in the meantime our little obstacles I set up for him in the backyard keep his little mind ticking over :) 12/52

I think the important thing to remember is that no food, no matter how 'good' it is is going to suit all dogs. I've tried a few with my little guy, Eukanuba, Balck Hawk and now we're just starting on proplan. My parents dogs have enjoyed the changing menu as we order enough of whatever to feed them all so we save by buying in bulk. All the dogs did okay on Eukanuba and Black Hawk But I find it hard keeping reasonable condition on my guy - he's either skin and bones or has a pudgy tummy...really hard to hit that happy medium so far. The latest drama is the 6 or so stools a day from him which I'm not happy with although I must say the excessive water drinking which seems to have caused such an uproar hasn't been a problem with him - in fact he drank more on the Eukanuba. The other dogs are cruising along fine on the Black Hawk, looking fantastic in fact and my parents are probably going to continue feeding it while I keep experimenting to find what suits my little fellow. I think it's a fantastic food and have seen the results with their dogs - it's just doesn't suit Paddy- I'm disappointed, but it's not the food's fault...we'll keep looking till we find what we need to keep him in great nick.

I agree with all of the above about checking her over - just check with the frontline when you can wash her...I think a few of those treatments reccommend not getting the dog wet for a day or two for the treatment to actually work?
-
We do call him Paddy for short - or more commonly Pad, Pads or Monster...the last one is saved for moments like him helping himself to my housemate's chocolate biscuit and cup of tea which she had left unattended on the coffee table this morning- amateur mistake! Although I was impressed he managed to drink some of the tea without knocking the mug over, she was less impressed....ah....puppies.... :) PS. Love the photo of Lacy with family and friends!

It doesn't seem so long ago that I was having this same battle with my pup, who is now 9 months old! I too planned to keep him on 3 meals a day until the 16 week mark as the everyone had suggested...from memory it started getting a bit of a struggle around the 12 week mark and by about 14weeks I had dropped the lunch meal altogether. I just slightly increased the breaky and dinner quantities and then readjusted them at 16weeks, that way we were both happy!

Loving all the photos! Snook - Paddington and I are working our way through beginners obedience class too...we're getting there slowly and he really is very good at times but it's just far too exciting!! Monet &Diva's mum - those jumping shots are amazing! I almost forgot to take a photo this week - but little Paddington reminded me in his own special way.... 11/52 those ears.... Shame we weren't closer to easter!
-
Paddy still hasn't associated any words with his meal times...that being said once his cupboard in the laundry is opened to get his biscuits out he does a happy dance around me for however long it takes me to decide and sort out what he's having (eggs and bones are the biggest hit here, although he will quite merrily eat plain dry food if I've got someone else feeding him!) Once it's ready he races ahead of me and sits as still as he can where he is fed - once I've put it down he trembles like crazy but won't move until he's given his release word (to the point I had my mum call me at work to find out what was wrong with the dog as he wouldn't eat for her but was obviously hungry! ) Once he's been given the okay, the food is GONE. We do love our food here :)

A few contact numbers for the owner and a second person to contact just in case you can't be reached :)

Yup. I can feel it sitting quite happily between his shoulders, a little off centre. Had no idea what it was first time I found it :)

Everyone's photos are fantastic - I actually feel like I'm getting to know all your doggies without having even met them! Snook: Justice looks like a superhero in your week 8 shot - love the colour in the sky and the week 9 shot is gorgeous - shows what can be done with a little point and shoot camera doesn't it? Monet& Divasmum - I love how happy your dogs are to curl up in one big pile! :) And Little Juddy's fangs are very cute! KumaAkita: Nice shot of Kuma and his little pal - and of him watching the telly  Obviously was an important show! MrRedDog: Cute photo of Bella and a friend... GregW: Zoe looks so chilled out having a snooze - clever shot of her nose too! Jack&Dash'sMum: They're all cute shots but I love the Big wet ears! Looks like Paddington's beard when it gets wet! TLC: Love the shot of all your guys together beside the pool - looks like a real holiday snap! :) AnnieK: Phoebe looks pretty pleased with herself and that bone! DogSportObsessed: Beautiful shots as always, but I really like the one of Bailey on the chair.... I can't believe it's week 10 already! I took Paddy down to check out the river that has appeared out of nowhere around the corner from my place after all the rain. He had a lovely time and was particularly fixated with the ducks! One day I'll be able to trust him enough to let him off lead but while we have selective adolescent hearing he's staying on his harness and long line lead! 10/52 And another shot as he got a bit braver and ventured out a little deeper...it's scary stuff this water! :)

I've grown up with various terrier rescues from the RSPCA and pounds. I have a mini schnauzer now and he is my first dog as a grown up! :) I'm training him up in obedience and once my knee is better agility. I would like to get into showing with my next dog and don't realistically think I'd be able to maintain a mini handstripped for shows much as I love them and so am currently beginning my research for the next dog (I think 2 or 3 years away - it's never too early to start right? ) It's crazy how many breeds I like, but as to what would suit...I'm looking at Field Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels,Welsh Springer Spaniels and Aussuie Shepherds. Who knows what I'll end up with though!

Our photo for week 9. Paddington curled up on a blanket enjoying the last day of summer! The weather has been so strange this year....I'll come back to comment on everyone's photos later - but they're looking awesome! :) 9/52

Week 8 for us - Little Paddington chilling out by the front door hoping for visitors! I was hoping for sharper detail, but I think I washed it out a little with the background light....I just like his expression :) 8/52

The photos are all gorgeous! Comments for week 7: GazelleHound: I can't believe quite how long Bella's legs are!! Also love the shot of her having a shake after her bath :) AnnieK: I love the valentine's day theme! Pixie_Meg: I hadn't realised quite how tall Adonys was...he is stunning! Helen: A happy birthday to your pretty girl! Love the little blue heart. :) Dogsportobsessed: Love those shots of Bailey - such a clever idea :) Also love that shot of Jess - such a focussed look in her eye! TLC: Love those happy shots of your girl in the park - such a smiley face. I like the black &white shot best of your week 8 shots I think - they're all cute though! Monet&DivasMum: gorgeous photos - Juddy looks like he's settling in well. Stonecutter: Cute shot of Ziva - she looks like she's been caught out eating something naughty :D KumaAkita: That is a gorgeous shot of Kuma MrRedDog: Cute shot of Bella scurrying up the ramp - she looks like she's had a bit of practice :) Snook: Justice looks so handsome - he'd have no problem finding a valentine - love the bow tie. GregW: Gorgeous shot of Zoe with her pal! I'm still tweaking this weeks shot - it'll be up soon! :)

My little fellow has free access to all the yard and access to the laundry via a doggy door. I'm preety sure he only comes into the laundry for naps and spends the rest of his time "patrolling" the yard. Thankfully (and unusually for a mini schnauzer) he isn't a barker and he seems quite happy with the whole arrangement.

Paddington was named after Paddington Bear. As we picked him up from the airport and it reminded me of the story - although he was missing his "please look after this bear" tag! Also he looked just like a little teddy bear!
-
Week 7 for us - Nothing terribly exciting although I do like this shot of the little guy... 7/52 I was fiddling with the timer on my camera, taking a few practice shots and caught this one of us negotiating by chance...made me laugh - it's a fairly accurate reflection of day to day life with little Paddington at the moment :) Gotta love that adolescent stage, not that I'd change him for the world!!
-
Wow! These photos seem to get better week by week- I guess there's a lot to be said for actually picking up the cameras to practice regularly! :) Comments for the week 6 shots.... Dogsportobsessed: Love the concept of Bailey rolling - a lovely sequence. I prefer the 2nd shot of Jess - I hadn't noticed the colouring of her front legs before now - just stunning! Jenni87: Love all the shots of the girls - especially the week 6 of rosie - she's got a bit of a crazy glint in her eye there! Gazellehound: Bella is stunning as always - love the first shot - I really like the colours in the grass, trees and sky. tlc: Nice family shot :) They're all very cute doggies! jackanddash'smum: Dash is cute - looks like he's enjoying that toy :) snook:cute shot. I really like the idea of it. Justice looks like he's daring you to question his being there..."I'm not standing - I'm sitting!" :) Stonecutter: Hope all goes well with treatment -- exhausting stuff. Ziva looks like a completely different dog when she's wet! Monet&Diva'smum: Love all the shots. Congrats on the new baby- he is adorable! AnnieK: Phoebe looks so unimpressed  TLC: I'm a bit partial to the wet dog photos - so cute GregW: Zoe looks like she's had a great time at the park MrRedDog: Cute shot of Bella KumaAkita: Kuma looks exhausted after the indignity of a bath!!! :) Now I'm off to find inspiration for this weeks shot :)

It's not dog-related, but I took this photo a couple of days ago on a trip to Uluru before I'd seen what the challenge was for this month. Appropriate? :) It's my brother and sister having a lovely time on our little holiday. I'm going to attempt to shoot a dog -related "leap" but I get the feeling that might be even trickier to time!
-
Love everyone's shots - I'll come back to comment later :) This is my week 6 If dogs could talk...."Noooo...what do you mean we're not going for a walk tonight!" I've been out of action this week, hurt my knee at work, so Paddy's been relying on my lovely housemate to take him out for walks/jogs of an evening, he's not delighted with the situation as you can see! 6/52
-
Wow Helen....HUGE difference with the flash - totally changes the shot - love all the extra detail you can see in the sky and the water - I'll have to have a play around with my flash now :)
-
This is Week 5 for us. It's pretty wet out this way and I've had a crazy puppy bouncing off the walls so we went out for a bit of a play in the puddles! 5/52

Week 4 Not a very exciting shot this week, I've been working non stop and am madly packing to go away for a few days - I had been trying to think how to do the photo for this week when Paddy solved it for me with one of his newest games which started a couple of weeks back when he figured out the sliding door to the bathroom....don't you think he looks just the tiniest bit miffed I didn't knock before coming in? Love everyone's shots, I'll get back to commenting on them when I have time to sit still :)
