  1. Everyone's photos are gorgeous. Especially happy to see Tilly again Helen, she's such a gorgeous girl! Week 2 - Enjoying the sunshine And week 3, drying off after "helping" dad water the garden....hoses are such fun!
  2. I've recently switched my mini schnauzer over to wellness and am so far (fingers crossed I don't want to jinx anything) noticing a reduction in the everyday scratching he does. He never does himself damage and I don't know that he's allergic to anything as such, but he's always been an 'itchy' sort of dog and so far so good. I've also noticed an improvement in his coat and just overall energy. Plus he LOVES it, especially the whitefish flavour :) Very happy so far.
  3. I'll give this a go again this year...I think I got about halfway last year - see if I can improve :) Love everyone's photos so far This is Paddington 1/52
  4. When your people put you out of reach and makes you sit still away from the front door to let YOUR visitors in and gets cross when you leap and jump all over them.....I mean how else will they know I'm happy to see them? Seriously!!
  5. After more posing....Our christmas card photo for 2012 :)
  6. When you've FINALLY managed to push your human all the way to the edge of their bed and are stretched out on your back all comfy....and they have the audacity to wake up and make you move so they don't fall out of said bed...trauma
  7. Okay, so we fell of the 52 weeks project rather spectacularly - between me being sick and Paddington growing into a teenager and realising that being well behaved for photos was optional, not mandatory, it just didn't happen...but after several shots....here is christmas for us in 2012 :) Loving everybody else's photos by the way!
  8. I got the ratbag of the litter too - a mini schnauzer. He basically walked all over his littermates despite being significantly smaller than one of his brothers :) He's 18 months old now. Has he been more hard work than any other puppy? Hard to say as he's the first mini I've had. We've worked hard with him and set boundaries and he has won over everyone he meets with his outgoing, friendly personality. I plan to compete in agility with him once we've worked our way through the basics and he just LOVES working and having to think, so for what I want, he's perfect and I'd happily search out another pup with that sort of temperament. May not have been everyone's cup of tea to live with 24/7 when he was a baby though he has started to mellow a bit now :)
  9. My breeder was happy for me to choose my guy's registered name but it had to have "masa" at the end of it which is the start/end of his parent's callnames. so he is ************* Paddington Bear Masa - call name Paddy :) I didn't really mind whether I was going to get an input or not though.
  10. My grandfather had a collie rough - blind from birth. Eventually ended up trialling both him and his full sighted brother in obedience. Blind dog was a superstar - I forget what titles he earned, but there were certainly a few of them Hard work - absolutely. Happy, healthy dog - definately. I think as long as people are aware that it will be challenging at times and they're prepared for it, a blind or deaf puppy deserves a chance.
  11. I use head and shoulders on my horse who gets a seasonal queensland itch and ends up with awful scurf-y mane and tail - it's the only thing that helps him - with the dog I tend to tweak his diet a bit - haven't needed to resort to it on him :)
  12. Sending positive vibes for you and Melton. I pulled a tick of my little Paddy's nose only last week - I was shocked to have found one so early this year! Thankfully caught it before it had done him any damage - pure luck as he was having a bath and it certainly stood out! We were so lucky, I'll be hoping for good news for you guys!
  13. Ooh a sealyham! I was oh so close to getting one when I was looking at breeds a year ago. If I hadn't been so keen on agility I would have got one, but I went with a mini schnauzer instead....I will have my sealyham one day though! Please please please post lots of pics once the little guy arrives! Haha. Awesome name! My schnauzer is Paddy, short for Paddington :)

  15. Monet&Diva's Mum: cute shots, especially of Diva in her b'day collar and monet all snuggled up :) AnnieK: Phoebe looks particularly unimpressed with your new foster! TLC: Love the action shto...tails and ears everywhere! Snook: Love the colours in that photo - Justice looks so chilled out :) Week 31 for us...not sure if Paddy is clear enough in this shot, but I kind of like the blurring and didn't want to change it too much... 31/52
  16. Aw thanks TLC. I do groom him myself, not perfect, but I'm improving. He's clipped now, I stripped his coat for the first couple of months, but it was a lot of work...every now and again I let his coat grow out a little and then strip out the undercoat to try and keep it nice and black rather than going grey too quickly! I'm lucky he's got a pretty good wiry coat though...makes it easier :)
  17. Gorgeous photos guys. Snook: Love Justice's PJ's - I think I like the second shot better :) Love what you do with the background - do you layer it? Very clever. Great suggestion with the sunflare with my last shot- I'll have a play - if it turns out awesome I'll post it up too! TLC: Lacy looks gorgeous as always, she's so cute in her winter woolies too! Week 30 for us...what are you guys up to...am I behind? Anyway, my housemate had a mirror sitting in our lounge room for a few days - Paddy was besotted with the friendly and good looking dog who had moved in and played with him - sad when he left though 30/52

    Atlas

So sorry to hear about Atlas, he looked such a funny sweet dog in your photos and posts. RIP big guy.
  19. Okay, I think I'm back on track :) found a bit more motivation again, it's funny how you have ups and downs with this project isn't it? Snook: cute shot of Justice who is obviously as shocked as you to discover holes in his yard - it obviously wasn't him! :) Monet&Diva's Mum: All gorgeous photos - I can't believe how big Juddy is getting!! Cute cat too... AnnieK: Pheobe looks very sweet in her hat :) Week 29 for us - exploring.... 29/52 I'm rather annoyed with the glare from the sun in the top left hand corner and kicking myself I wasn't better prepared, but it was a cute shot and once Paddy realised I was watching him wasn't interested in going back in!
