  1. i've changed my pup over to Black Hawk 3 weeks ago now and I am stunned at the difference in his coat and skin already - it had been a little dry and flaky, and that has all but disappeared in the last week or so - fantastic! And more importantly he LOVES it! Thankyou!
  2. I've just changed my little guy onto Black Hawk and I'm really happy with the results. His coat is looking and feeling amazing, he LOVES it and best of all they delivered it right to my doorstep. Can't recommend it enough.
  3. My little Miniature schnauzer ticks all those boxes, he's out and about with the horses, cats, chickens, the lot and we've had no problems, very easy going little guy. Low shedding, although grooming requirements are right up there, although I enjoy it and find it quite relaxing. Excercise-wise he is full of beans, but he's still a pup and I find if I do some training with him each day he's pretty happy with a walk and then to just potter around after me or snooze on the couch!
  4. fantastic news! You must all be so so so relieved!!!
  5. im so so sorry to hear this...Both for you and the breeder. How heartbreaking. Hugs to you and RIP puppies and mum. Kinda feel a bit odd posting after such sad news like that but im picking up my girl tomorrow morning. Very excited. Im currently having the final solo cuddles with Riley before his world gets turned upside down with a sibling. He is going to absolutely love her (he is crazy about puppies) YAYYYYYY. I cant believe the day has finally arrived. How did you go Riley's mum? How's the little girl?
  6. Flocked and FB - Can't even imagine how you guys are coping. Fingers and paws crossed for the safe return of the girls.
  7. Zeke is VERY cute! Another breed on my list to own someday....so many dogs, so little time...
  8. How heartbreaking - for you and the breeder. RIP little pup.
  9. My little Paddington sounds just the same don't panic. He's a purebred miniature schnauzer too and 14wks now, and as lankier than you would believe, he's been getting taller and taller, the vet promises me he'll start filling out soon! he weighs about 5 kgs now, But I think males are probably bigger than females. What colour is your little girl? Jetta is a purebred little black girl & we just love her. I really like the other colours but love the black ones. She has such a fantastic personality and she is a little spoilt. I am so happy I chose a Miniature Schnauzer as I am sure you are too. I did alot of research on the net about them before I decided to get her but it only ever mentioned what height and weight they should be as adults. Going on what you have said about Paddington I think she should be at least 4kg by now. You're absolutely right, I was happy with my choice of breed before my little guy arrived, as they sounded the perfect fit, but I couldn't have imagined just how perfect, he's such an easy-going fun and adaptable little guy. I saw Paddy's sister when we picked him up from the airport and she was MUCH smaller than he was, It could easily be a male/female thing, but as long as she's gradually putting on weight and getting bigger she's probably fine, I suppose they're a bit like a human babies in that they all grow at different rates! If you're really worried, maybe check with your breeder as to what size they think she should be or with the vet when she has her next vaccination.

  11. We're starting to get there now. Paddy's 14 wks tomorrow and I'd say we're a good 90% there. As long as he's been out regularly he's reliable, and he holds on fine overnight or if we go out for a few hours and leave him in the laundry. The only accidents we have now is the occasional wee just near the back door on the lino if he's been playing and seems to forget he needs to go until just before it happens! You learn a lot of patience with a puppy don't you?
  12. my little guy's name is Paddington, partly because I liked it and partly because we picked him up from the airport when he arrived which reminded me of the Paddington Bear story! He answers to it easily, although I do tend to call him Pad or Paddy quite a bit too, he's 12wks old and having no trouble with it - he knows when I'm talking to him, whether he chooses to respond or not is another matter completely at this age...
  13. I was thinking I'd head across for a wander round, are the breeds on specific days or are there classes for all breeds on all days, the schedule is a wee bit confusing to me. Particularly wanting to see the schnauzers!
  14. I totally understand - Paddington's a bit the same. The first week we had one or two accidents inside, and when we've been to work he hasn't had any accidents. But the last day or so we've had a couple of inside wees, usually shortly after he's been out with little to no warning. A little bit 2 steps forward, 1 step back, only to be expected with the babies - after all, he's only 11 wks old, but it's still frustrating!
  15. Awww...Little Wilbur at long last! He's too gorgeous. Enjoy him!

  17. Happened to one of our horses once, he was bitten by a wasp on his nose and his whole face swelled up! Poor guy. We had the vet over to him pretty quickly. He was fine, but we always had a needle in the fridge ready for him after that, none of the other horses reacted nearly as abdly as he did.
  18. I tried my pup with one yesterday, as advised by the vet, he's about 3 kgs, 9 wks old...he licked it a bit but had no idea - something that will improve with time do you think?
  19. My little Paddington has arrived. 9 weeks old. Very cute and sweet. He's been such an easy little guy so far, doesn't grumble when he's left, no crying at night, and just wakes at about 2am to let me know he needs to go outside. I was so ready for problems but am delighted we haven't hit any yet.
  20. [ Soooo cute! Have we got a name yet?? I love Bassetts!
  21. What time is pickup for your puppy? Our plane eta is at 3:30 pm & pick up from Toll Freight is 4:00pm...i'll be there at around 3:00 pm Paddington arrived at Toll freight about 10 mins after his plane landed...with me waiting there impatiently! I think if it had've taken the full half hour I don't know if I would have lasted!!
  22. Day 2 today and little Paddington has settled in so so well - I'm a little shocked, I was prepared for the worst I think, only cried once the first night to let me know he needed to go outside, other than that, very content to play all day and sleep all night. Such a sweet natured little guy.
  23. At long last - welcome home little Paddington!
