International Film Festival Date: 6,7 & 8 September 2013 Cost: Entry Free Contact: Anny Slater (02)98181813 Location: Mort Bay Park, Balmain NSW 2041 Good Dog! is an Australian film festival that screens engaging films and stories that feature or are about dogs. The festival will be screening Oscar and Annecy films as well as other engaging films featuring dogs. Entry is free and all profits are distributed to Australian dog charities and, this year, audience members can bring their dog to Good Dog! It has to be one of the most unique film festivals in the World! Sydney Dogs and Cats Home will be on site for tax deductible donations. The festival is approaching 35,000 subscribers on Facebook! www.facebook.com/GoodDogFilmFestival because film goers around the World love the idea of a festival that celebrates dogs on film. This year the festival opened up its competition categories to include short and feature films, short and feature screenplays and short stories.   3. The Good Dog! International Film Festival screens 17-19 August 2012 at the Balmain Town Hall. Attached is the poster for the opening night film War Dogs of the Pacific. I'll post other information about other films in separate posts. Profits are split between the Animal Welfare League, Monika's Doggie Rescue and a Balmain dog walking service for the elderly and diabled The film festival will screen films featuring dogs and dog stories and has attracted submissions from New York, London, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia and includes Oscar and BAFTA nominated shorts and feature films, dog animations by Oscar nom’d US animator George Plympton, contributions from the Australian Film, TV and Radio school, the Australian National Sound and Film Archive as well as Harris Done, DOP for Stephen Spielberg. Luc Besson’s company has also sent us a Russian film about wolves. The festival has captured the public’s imagination in a short period of time. Oscar winning animator Bruce Petty has agreed to be a judge for the competitive section and other well known Australian film makers are also judges.   4. Hi Stevie My 11mth old girl was desexed last Friday. She was groggy Friday night and sore of course. Saturday she was better and like velcro to my ankles and by Sunday she was back to her old self. She vomited bile twice during Friday night as a reaction to the anesthetic but other wise ok. hope that helps!
  5. Rest assured that Stevie will get lots of extra kisses and cuddles from the vet staff hope the big day goes well :D Thank You Suzi, I know Stevie Loves Her Vet So Thats Great 4 me! but I don't think I'll be able to relax till we pick her up tomorrow afternoon!!
