  1. That was my immediate reaction to the question. One of my dogs is a Finnish Spitz cross who has a brilliant red coat. He is the one who gets the most attention when we are out walking. Same when we are out walking. Stan is a very stunning blue and people stop and comment on his colour a lot. Poor little Maddie usually gets overlooked although she is very pretty. In greyhounds my favourite colour is the brindles, especially the blue brindles.
  2. We were surrounded by fireworks last night People started letting them off before it even got dark Stan had his thundershirt on (best investment ever) and was quite calm. Maddie who is not scared of thunder and is fairly bomb proof was petrified. I took them both to bed, Maddie curled up next to me in a little trembling ball and I just put my arms around her and we eventually fell asleep.
  3. I would just like to say Happy New Year to all the wonderful people in rescue. To the people that post all the threads for the pounds, the volunteers that take photos, temp test and do transports, I wish you the best for 2013. A special thanks to Ninahartland and Rhonda for helping me with my foster grey from West Wyalong. You are all amazing Here's to another year of saving these gorgeous souls.
  4. Stan hates any loud noises. I will be home NYE as always :)
  5. LLDR (yellowgirl) are in SA. Newcastle is north of Sydney :) Omg, oops! I thought they were in NSW this whole time.. what an idiot! I've been following them on FB for forever  my bad! You're not an idiot at all!! I stalk them on FB too
  6. LLDR (yellowgirl) are in SA. Newcastle is north of Sydney :)
  7. My greyhound boy is 35kg and my girl is quite small at 25kg.
  8. Rest easy Sunny...you were dearly loved
  9. Hope you and Huckleberry had a wonderful Xmas Mark. He is such a beautiful boy :)
  10. hahaha that's the first thing that popped into my mind as well  Very cute though Stans Mum, did you make it? No I found it on FB and I just found another one that is even better
  11. you are so right...I never thought of that!
  12. Oakway my greyhounds were failures alright...not fast enough Stan was dumped at the pound because the only issue he had was he was too slow. Not all dogs in pounds have issues. I agree with k9angel, your comments are far from the truth and heartless.
  13. Merry Christmas everyone from Stan and Maddie
  14. Never met a nasty Rottie either. Just beautiful dogs. I couldn't watch the vid all the way through, made my blood boil and to be honest made me cry
  15. ..... with these reindeer! Unless that's Stan up the back with the hat on...complaining it's too far  Merry Christmas everyone
  16. Mine are the same BC. Stan does the ouch ouch walk then stops dead with the help me face. Maddie just soldiers on, she's a tough little cookie though...Stan is a sooky la la :)
  17. I remember Ellie. Happy tears here for Ellie, just look at that smile Bless all of you who helped her, thanks for the update Dogmad :)
  18. When mum tells you it's too hot to spoon...according to Stan it's never too hot to spoon or share a pillow :)
  19. When they are laying in my bed on a hot night while I'm watching TV and I forget to go in and turn the fan on
  20. I'm sorry for your loss of Asteroid Dognerd
  21. For the record I never wanted you to fail. I'm sorry you have been in tears and it has all gone to shit but you did not listen. I am not with ANY rescue group anymore.I have my two foster failures and don't want to foster anymore but I still help out in other ways. FFS you call us drama queens, block people on your FB page and report your two threads here and get them deleted, then you can just get on with it!
  22. Lol really this is that urgent that people are calling around, why not worry about dogs that are dying? Why not make calls for Gap to help drum up donations or help them move some dogs rather than acting like gossiping school girls Ah actually I do help drum up donations and not for Gap and it was not gossiping, it was purely concern for the greys. I have just done a collection of blankets, food and toys for the greys in kennels in Sydney. I do transports and homechecks out of my own pocket and don't ever say I don't worry about the dogs that are dying
  23. I am no longer on any greyhound FB pages but I did get a call about this today. As said...the greyhound world is small.
