Best looking bums on the beach :D

This is what I do also, for my Cavalier me too for the greyhounds, but I give it every 6 weeks Rebanne if I were to give my two the Valueheart I would need to give the 21-40kg one. As Stan is 35kg that seems fine but Maddie is only 25kg so wouldn't that be overkill? Not being a smarty just asking your opinion as a knowledgable greyhound person :)

What Do You Do To Prolong Your Dog's Life?
HazyWal replied to Blackdogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
I hate vaccinating every year - I wouldn't do it but for the damn kennel requirements! That's a shame. My kennel accepts tri yearly vaccs except for kennel cough which obviously has to be up to date. My two have the yearly heartworm injection( we live in a high risk area) worm a couple of times a year and the one time they got fleas I used Comfortis which knocked that on the head. My two have a good diet, lots of love and lounges...nothing makes my greyhounds happier than the lounge :) Or my bed -
Sick Dog, Vets Don't Know What's Wrong

That's wonderful news kirty :) I've been checking in all day hoping your little one had improved. -
MN believes she is the answer to no kill in Aust. Getting every single dog out of just two kill pounds in NSW is not the answer. Not only has she gone in with absolutely NO idea and NO experience, it is her way or the highway. Reducing euth rates needs a multi pronged approach, there are so many elements and dynamics in play. She crucifies anyone and everyone in her path, so has no hope in working on a 'proactive' level on the bigger issues or on the "flow" of dogs living in shelters. It has been this way from the start. She reminds me of PETA and Indrid N which is a really worry in this country though also a huge concern OS. She basically moves them from one pound to a PR "pound' (mass kennels), and calls it success. I fail to see how that is success, especially considering blacktown is now apparently a no kill shelter. When did BP become a NO KILL shelter? Didn't know one existed let alone one as big as Blacktown. They are not. MN has laid claim to that though. The thing is, what PR's are doing (poor practice etc) is dangerous for rescue in NSW and as a whole. It is not maintainable long term. More than that, dogs are at serious risk. They do not address the issue of impounded companion animals. If you are serious in efforts to assist impounded companion animals long term you would work very differently and make SURE you knew what the hell you are doing. Ahhh gotcha sorry.

T's is an asbestos-fibro box. Ours used to be, but was given a gorgeous makeover with pretend brick (more like emery board) in the 70s :) The storm you had is probably just the precursor we had a few hours ago. We're now getting the proper change - down to 26 degrees, very little rain but very rough wind. Yes Katdogs you are right, the southerly's hit and it's blowing a gale The trains were a nightmare this arvo I heard -

A fibro box with ceiling fans...luxury! I live in an asbestos box with one pedestal fan. Storm came through, bit of rain and lots of thunder, gone now and it's 34 degrees and the humiditity has gone from 13% to 83% YAY! -

45 here today on the Central Coast, it was putrid No air con just wet towels on the dogs, hope the southerly blows through soon. -
My kennel you don't pay anything (in off season) until you pick up. During school holidays you pay a deposit (not sure how much ) which is non refundable. The other kennel in this area you pay 50% deposit which is non refundable regardless of what time of year it is. I'm sure it would vary.

Leaving Clam Shells With Water In Dog Runs
HazyWal replied to mantis's topic in General Dog Discussion
 why am I not surprised? Ours wont go in either they just use it as a big water bowl but I still leave it as it stays cool and is too big for them to flip over and empty  When I start filling it he takes off like it's the scariest thing in the world. I think he thinks he's getting a bath but seeing I own my own hydrobath I don't know why. Who knows what goes on in Stanley's head  -

Yes mine have a clamshell pool in the backyard under the deck. Maddie likes to stand in it, Stan won't go near it.
